  • This documentary illuminates the philosophy of Helmuth Rilling's master class at the Oregon Bach Festival. In its 40-year history the class has helped develop the talents of more than 1,200 conductors from around the world. Visit class sessions from the summer of 2012 to see how Rilling works with conductors and how the lessons he imparts shapes their approach.

    I like Ton Koopman conducting JS Bach's Matthäus Passion very much. But to be honest, Mr. Rilling conducting this incredible piece of Bach tops it in my opinion. But yes, of course this is a personal point of view. By the way and Make no mistake, Ton Koopman plays Bach on the organ with an extreme amount of capability. Simply incredible.
