I watched this every year and every holiday for three years straight because it was the favorite of my old choir teachers deceased best friend. I can't tell you how much I was sick of that movie but I do still enjoy some of the songs because they were pretty good. I could heat the tune or words almost and almost tell every time it's this movie.

I was worried I did that to my Dad because he was a fan of the musical ever since it came out, but I became obsessed with it after the movie came out in 2004, and I think I might have tired him out of liking it.😅

This is killer! The opening lines paired with the scenes of Elsa during Into The Unknown of her sleeping and waking and wandering was perfect. Same with the scenes during that first part as she’s wandering Atohollan. And OH MY GOD. GIRL. I’m blown away by the parallels of Elsa running across the water and her riding Nokk across the water. The change between the two was seamless and wonderful. The part at 1:11-1:14 was really good with Elsa’s reaction. I loved the “and though you turn from me” part. It has a very obvious and literal meaning but also a much more symbolic meaning of her looking back into the light aka her childhood versus being greeted with the dark aka her adulthood. The part at 2:55-3:17 looks so cool! And the part where she’s vocalizing was really good too. I love the small flashback to her as younger version of herself when he heard her sing for the first time.

Yeah, I never got the childhood vs adulthood symbol. The movie could have been really cool if they had elaborated a little more on that trauma......

Wasn’t expecting Pitch as Erik… Is it weird that I kinda like it?
