Congratulations on the new position! I understand having those mixed feelings about a job you have loved for so long. I taught for 8 years in a K8 Catholic school, and I loved the students and staff. When I reached the point where there was no room for growth as a teacher, we started looking at areas closer to family. I ended up an amazing middle school teaching much more of what I want and having opportunities for growth professionally. May your new position bring great things to you!

    Well Kate,
Yes it is bittersweet because you are in between the rock of companionships and the hard place of inconsistencies.
At least you will be teaching in a new school with consistency making new companionships.

Hi Kate! I am excited for you. I also moved up to be the Pre-Calculus and Calculus teacher this school year. So I anticipate seeing your journey and recommendations. There is not a college credit/calculus community of vlogging teacher on RUclips. So glad you are the one to get inspiration from. Are you preparing anything prior to school starting? If so can you share in a vlog? Congrats on your new role.

Congratulations on moving up to teach PreCalc and Calculus! I will definitely continue sharing my journey as I move into my new school.
I have spent some time over the summer looking over the material for my school school. Thankfully PreCalculus is PreCalculus no matter where you teach (for the most part), so I don't have a ton of work to do. I have been working on creating new resources for my students, so we aren't using the book the entire time.
I will be sharing more information about an amazing math deal on Tuesday (7/23), so be on the lookout for that!

All true, doing some research for a non-fiction book, reply if you'd like to be interviewed

I would defiantly be interested in learning more about the book you are writing.
