I remember getting to see him live on TV take down the big 3 in Miami and win a ring! I am a Clippers fan but Dirk will always be my favorite NBA player because I like how against all odds he still won a ring. You gotta admire a player who stays with one team their whole career and turns down joining another all-star even if it meant they wouldn't win another ring.

Kobe did not have an instant impact on the league like Bird, Magic, and Russell which is why Kobe probably should not be in the top three. It’s had to put one over the other, much line Magic and Bird. Duncan has one more MVP and was the clear best player on 4 of his championships, whereas Kobe only was for 2. So I give the edge to Duncan. But only slightly.

Kobe is one of the greatest.. he definitely shouldn't be higher in this list than larry, magic, bill russell.. these guys resonates their team and had far greater legacy, influence for their team.
