I agree, it is this mystical yet creepy sound that adds flavor to the brotherhood of steel. It is a very mysterious sound and it fits them perfectly since their objective is more obscure than the other factions.

For those that don't know Ramin Djawadi is the genius behind Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon and Pacific Rim music amongst others.

Always hits the mark, never phones it in. The OST helped me get through the show, while also yearning for a better story and characters. But whoever put Djawadi on the job deserves a great deal of praise, even if at this point he's a very obvious choice for quality.

Damn, no wonder why I like this music so much, I LOVE the Mechanicus OST.
That's definitely his style to update and add to existing themes as series go on - very prevalent in GOT in particular. Absolutely loved how he added to and expanded to his themes - really cool tricks he does to change up the themes or the emotion of what they convey for a scene. Love when he takes a theme and can make it happy or sad as needed. I expect we will get a lot of fun stuff for this theme.
First person to make a mod that adds this song to the Boston Airport and Predwen in place of the Generic army music they got there have got my approval for life. And instant download.

This series did NOT disappoint, most important thing is that the end product is entertaining to watch, which it was.
When it comes to video game adaptations, the most important thing is probably to not break any established lore
Even an incredibly entertaining show will get absolutely reamed by fans if it destroyed the established canon from the games.
Likewise, I think that even a moderately entertaining show can still have game fans hooked if it sticks to and adds onto existing game lore.
Genuinely incredible how well it managed to capture the vibe of ALL the games, hell even that urge to keep playing because I binged the whole thing in a day and it felt exactly like the first time you play a new Fallout game and you spend way too much time

They could make a show completely about the brotherhood and I would watch every second of it.
They could spin off each Protagonist into their own shows and it would still be compelling, but I do love how their stories keep tieing back into each other

Their losing war with the NCR, the loss of Helios One, and the defeatism and isolation of the Maxson and Mojave Chapters. He came to the West Coast to correct those mistakes. To make a Brotherhood that shall never fail again.
@@jakespacepiratee3740 It's possible but I think the defeats in the West has been over for a long time during the series, probably because of Eastern reinforcement and NCR setback. I think Quintus was more speaking about moral corruption, as illustrated by the despicable "knight" Titus. This guy was a shame for everything the Brotherhood stand for.
@@dermenore7162 I actually saw a very fascinating Theory that said that the reason why the Brotherhood has these creepy Clerics, why they have so much red in their logos and insignias, why they have so many Latin names now, (Maximus, Titus, Quintus) why Elder Cleric Quintus calls his armies a “Legion” rather than a Chapter…. I think Caesar’s Legion had Caesar and Legate Lanius died, and Legion Remnants joined the Western BoS. It’s how the BoS became so powerful on the West Coast. The fanaticism of the two groups helped each others worst impulses… “we used to rule the Wasteland” I think Elder Cleric Quintus is a Former Legion Legate. And how he talks of making “a New Brotherhood. With Me as it’s Head, and You as it’s Sword.” He’s prepared to fulfill Caesars Dream. *A Synthesis of a Thesis and Antithesis. The 88th Tribe. The weaknesses of both ideologies removed. A Pax Romanus.*
If there's one thing the Fallout games were lacking it was iconic faction themes.
Blame Inon Zurr. Dude only makes single tone music. And by tone I mean "feel" not literally musical notes. That fact was made very apparent when more than half of Starfield's music could've been in a Fallout game without anyone batting an eye. He made the Fallout 3 theme and that is the only track I respect him for.
@@AlleyCatNinja I think his work in New Vegas and Far Harbor was great, but I'll admit I got a mod that added more original tracks made by the mod author that I love alot more for Fallout 4, I'll link it once I find it

@@AlleyCatNinja He's a good composer but he subscribes to that "video game music shouldn't be noticed or it will be distracting" philosophy that I really, really resent. So many games have great soundtracks that are very noticeable but not distracting and even enhance the game.
@ianwhelan-miller90 thats not a good philosophy i agree. Thats a good philosophy maybe when studying for a test or on hold on a call or riding an elevator. But for video games, the more catchy and impactful the music, the more memorable the encounter and experience.
I love the brotherhood of steel. A group of power armored techno-priests bringing order to a savage and lawless wasteland.
This is an absurdly serious and heavy theme for a Fallout show and I love it
Atleast the music is gonna be 10/10 with Ramin composing. The guy is like a modern John Williams. This sounds like something straight out of the old Fallouts
I've only played Fallout Shelter on mobile... But this movie introuduced me to the world of Fallout perfectly.. Fallout hardcore fans can keep raging, but this movie in my opinion is a masterpiece. Its like combining The Boys with Fallout.. Perfectly wrote, and well casted out. And the OST... 10/10 easily
@@AyoDoesWTPersonally, I’m a “hardcore Fallout fan.” Grew up on the older games as my first videogames ever. And I still absolutely *loved* this TV series. I felt it did the originals justice.
I kinda get why some people might see it differently. Specially with Shady Sands… but I don’t mind the game-world drastically changing like that. As long as it gets explained well enough. Which I feel it will be in the next season.

How does Ramin Djawadi take things that are already cool and make them 10x cooler. The brotherhood of steel was already awesome, this makes the come across as legendary.

The chanting at 2:31 was such an amazing complement to the heavier-sounding second half of the track. GOATED composer
I have to say the Brotherhood of Steel soundtrack is the music that sticks with me the most throughout the series.
It almost feels like it encompasses their spirit so much so that it’s a narrator and not music anymore.

The Brotherhood have always been Technophiles.
I had my doubts about this show when it was announced. But every episode pleasantly surprised me, and more than anything the fact that they did the Brotherhood justice. This music exemplifies them perfectly. Ad Victoriam.

I thought I recognized the composer's name from somewhere. This man has done some of the most beautiful songs from Westworld and GOT. And this is great song to add to that list of fine work :)
He has never missed. Game of thrones season 8 was a disappointment except for Ramin’s music.

This feels like classic Fallout! Like damn it sounds like the ambient tracks from 1,2, and NV. It feels dark, mechanical, and almost empty.
Check out the Mchanicus soundtrack especially "Children of the Omnissiah" you'll love it and see a possible origin of these musical ideas. Very similar subject matter.

Idk what it was about this scene that I found so interesting the priest is telling Maximus of a glory filled future but the part of the song that plays in that scene isn’t that of a hero’s but that of a sinister scheming old man whose only purpose in life is to control by any means necessary. 4:02
Maximus sees the Brotherhood as protectors, due to them saving him. Moldaver alludes to him changing the brotherhood from the inside before she dies. I can see him killing that old dude later because Maximus doesn’t want power, he wants peace.
Skull inside a gear, metallic and techno sounds, monks humming... sounds definitely like children of the omnissiah.

I watched the show and thought the soundtrack was absolutely incredible. Just now came to listen to this and learned that it was Ramin Djawadi! No wonder!
I knew i recognised this composer. He did the soundtrack to the first iron man and pacfic rim. Man is an underrated legend at crafting some really iconic and hard hitting tracks
I really like how he used both Inon Zhur and Mark Morgan as influences for the show's soundtrack. It definitely shows and sounds amazing.

Amzing work. Im not surprised that its from Ramin. The BOS theme is dark, intriguing, and evokes a sense of authority, austerity, but also a religious undertone. Simply great work.

This song does such an awesome job summing up the Brotherhood of Steel. An unfortunate necessity in such a grueling wasteland. It persists as a force stronger than anything it comes across, as is necessary to survive.

I knew watching series that this soundtrack is too good and somebody talented did it, now I know and remember Night King to this day. As a Brotherhood supporter in games it really hits you right.

I feel like alot of people mad with the religious undertones of the Brotherhood of Steel either were only ever exposed to Fallout 3's BoS or didn't get that they literally have titles named after a Monastic order like Scribes.
The song for them in Fallout 1 and 2 was titled "Metallic Monks". People have to be bringing their real world gripes with religion into this show with this.
They never have a formalized religion they worship, but even New Vegas, House mentions they are "Militant quasi religious fanatics obsessed with Pre-War Technology".
They have all the trappings of religion with no God they worship because they're essentially a Tech-hoarding very successful post-war tribe. Their belief is loosely about Tech but they have the weird, adopted trappings of Arthurian legend, Military hierarchy, and Knights and Monks and Scribes and Elders cosplay.
Heck it's not just Fallouts by the old developers Black Isle Studios/Obsidian, in Fallout 4 Proctor Quinlan's terminal, the Aftermath Entry: "He has the full support of the Elders back on the West Coast, who have proudly reported that they've begun eradicating cults that have popped up, worshipping Maxson as though he's some kind of god. Maxson himself is almost offended by the idea of being referred to as a deity, as it goes against everything he believes in. Arthur Maxson is happy to be one thing... the perfect human specimen, an example of everything a human being can achieve. Assisted, even enhanced, by advanced technology, but still very much human."
This shows, even according to Bethesda, that the West Coast Brotherhood has a tendency to make things cultish and religious. The Elders have to actively oppose this, and I'm sure some even tolerate it for control and power's sake.
It IMMEDIATELY struck me as overwhelmingly similar to the Mechanicus and the Space Marines and the Imperium as a whole, which yes, is problematic because it doesn't keep its own identity, but I think there are commonalities between the two in the franchises that can't be avoided.

the only thing I can think is that they may be refering to the vault 4 crowd as shady sands and the president may be the overseer and the ncr may be keeping hush hush about the destruction of shady sands. idk Im not a complete fallout buff and have yet to play fall out new vegas but im working on it.
