I agree completely, last thing I want to do is make a customer or myself uncomfortable because I'm suddenly changing the price last minute after we have already agreed on a price. if the customer asks if they can add something when I am starting the job then I'm happy to explain that it's an extra cost and if they are ok with that then I'll get it done. ur way of doing business and a majority of ur processes are almost exactly how I do things.
It's so true what you saying. I have underpriced myself a few times but I do tell them hey it's on me. My word is my bond. As you said, I do ask them for pictures and gibe them a starting price. Very few times I will upsell, most of the time it will be do you want add a wash and wax and almost all the time customers very happily say yes. I only tell them about paint correction when they specifically ask about their paint condition.
Excellent! Bucket naked wash one of my favorites! I've used it before decontamination and for bugs. But it is very powerful and the foam is awesome! The pad washer is a must! I always learn something new thank you sir!
Great advice, as detailers we offer premium services that is reflected in our pricing, and that includes customer service. We never know someone’s financial situation, so to assume they have the funds for a spontaneous up sale is very presumptuous. Great work brother 👍
Great content Carlos! Thank you for the free advice bro. I see so many youtube detailers doing this all the time, upselling the customer after they get to location. I always tell customers this is the starting price but send me pictures of the condition of the vehicle so that I can give you a firm quote. I also see so many detailers trying to force a ceramic coat sale to their customers and trying to convince them that the ceramic is going make their car bulletproof. Me personally, I don’t even bring up the ceramic coating unless the customer asks about it. I don’t like to make the customer feel like im a car salesman trying to force them to buy a vehicle as soon as they pull in the lot.
I give my customers a firm price before I get there. If it has pet hair I give them a range 25-50 for the pet hair. I’m the same like you, I dislike when someone tell me one price then show up and have hidden fees lol. I think that’s why it’s important to atleast get pictures. If I don’t get pictures then I just simply don’t book them to avoid a problem.
Have you worked for an high net worth family before? I had this agency that works with only High Net Worth families reach out to me. They wanted me to sign a non disclosure agreement, show prove of business insurance and my business license. I’m just wondering if this would be a good move and has any other detailer done this before. Any feed back would be great.
@@serranosmobile What kind of headaches are we talking about? I feel like your working for the agency now and no interaction with the customer. I’m still not sure if this is something I would like to do.
so you have to be careful what you post, the area, and so much more. eventually you will slip and make minor mistake because of the signed agreement and then will be more of a headache. I know it doesn't make sense
@@serranosmobile Yes once you sign that non disclosure agreement you have to be very careful. I don’t hear many detailers talk about this, this is a first for me. I don’t know if I would like dealing with what comes with it, even though the money seems great and can open more doors for the business.
That's funny, i started with a long vaccum hose and now looking to get a 10ft because it improves the succion quite a bit which speeds up the process specialy for pet hair and matted carpets.
Also a Perfect way to say a product isn’t good (“on the right track, could stain but keep an eye on it, better wheel cleaning than paint iron remover, product isn’t for my use” than to say it’s trash and lose a potential sponsor
Amen!! A youtuber does that ALL THE TIME to his customers. I finally had to leave his channel. If I were the customer I would send him away. He would make zero.
If you haven’t already, put the vacuum on a wireless remote outlet. That way you can turn it on and off with the remote.
bro I have like 3 lmao I keep throwing them away
Very good and honest video Bay Bay about upselling the dues and donts 👏👏
thank you bro
Great job 👍. Thank you for putting yourself out there and dropping some very helpful knowledge. Always appreciate the info.
Thank for your time

what are best cobos for one step and 2 step corrections?
my favorite 1 step
kochchemie p601 with rules yellow foam
2 step
kochchemie h9 with lake country wool pad and kochchemie p6o1 with rupes yellow foam
NO HIDDEN FEES EVER! thats a great way to lose your clients or never have them come back, its like a scamming mechanic, no one likes that
