The way Dogday died is, in my opinion, the worst possible way to die. Little creatures eating your internal organs while you're still alive. Suffering in great pain as you die. The way he spoke in Spanish in Terror&Diversion's video, he sounded like an old man. In English, he sounded like a young man. Poor Dogday. The devs did make it really creepy. And they did a good job to scare the crap out of us. He is my favorite. Along with Poppy and kissy missy. I got shocked to see him die the first time, I watched a gameplay of this chapter. But I got over it. This is the creepiest death ever.

I find it so heartwarming that Razz and Think actually tried to use the flare gun to ward off the mini Smiling Critters and protect DogDay. :’( Heck, even Dom might’ve tried doing the same (though he might’ve been thinking they were after him instead, given his stifled reaction to DogDay getting eaten).

I have a theory. You notice how when he gets possessed his eyes start to glow while before they're pitch black. Maybe thats what happened to catnap, because the prototype "saved him" and that could be why he looks organic while dogday looks like a stuffy with the zipper.

He isn't possessed, the toys used his corpse as a puppet to kill the person.
That's why his face was moving around when he screamed, they were eating him in his face.

Its considered a way of possessing because if you are under the possession of someone you are under their control (and in this case it was literally body control)
