I'll add to what Trickster said (which is pretty much spot on advice), really look at and consider the condition on a card to trigger the effect. You need to really understand how often you will be able to get that condition to be able to get the effect AND when it happens. A sabotage is worse 'At Dusk' than from the hand for instance. Alot of people are going crazy over effects rather than understanding conditions for the deck that you are going to want to play.
@@gavkenny sabotage at dusk is the biggest trap ever. I think a lot of people don't understand all of the phases yet and think it will work like Ordis Legate. For anyone who doesn't know dusk is when you compare expeditions which is after you've made all of your plays and before cards go to reserve... a horrible time to sabotage 😆
I'll also add that the catagories that Tricker uses for Uniques are similar to mine except I have a catagory above great called Bonkers which has these very few Uniques that go for a very higher price. I divide Great off at about 50-100 Euro and anything over 100 Euro would be in my Bonkers catagory (but bear in mind that I've seen things that I'd barely class as Great go for Bonkers amounts, so don't over pay.
Hey Trickster! Great video first of all, pretty solid reasoning for all your price points, good on you to protect oblivious buyers/sellers. One thing that struck me as odd was the value multiplier between ks and retail boxes... With the ability to sell foilers and chase cards separately or just digitally, I would say that the box value is more determined by what you can sell the components for, than what they're worth to you. In that respect, ks boxes ought to be closer to 2x value with all the exclusive stuff (imo)
@@Chamos_games this is a good point! I think they are worth around 1.5 to 2 depending on the buyer. If you will resell you can probably get more out of a display than some people will but for buyers that don't care about cosmetics and who will keep everything and don't want to go trough the trouble of reselling it might not be worth as much to them. Also the prices I listed are the ranges I see the two types of displays going for, but they may not reflect their true worth which means educated buyers may be able to get a good deal!
I think the best uniques will be the ones that give you a 4th of another existing rare. Ex. I’ve hit a spindle harvester in Yzmir that is effectively a 4th mage-dancer and there may be better BUT if Afanas sees play people might just need it and not a « better mage-dancer » for instance
You can't run more than 3 copies of a card with the same name, regardless of rarity. So if your build has 3 R-Spindles, then you'd have to drop one if you wanted to run a U-Spindle.
If I run Afanas I prefer having 3 rare mage-dancers and a unique spindle that act as a mage-dancer than having one of my mage-dancer as a unique as it is already one of the best card in my deck. And I guess the very best deck will have 6 copies of the best card by having 3 rares + other characters with weird variations
@@kaba9926 this is a good point. Replacing a weaker card with a powerful unique could definitely do more for your deck than replacing something that is already strong. I've also seen that some of the better rares have worse uniques on average while other less popular names seem great as uniques. Hopefully this let's more of the names see play in the top decks!

Hello! You can already transfer cards to your friends in the app. A lot of people make posts on Facebook or Discord and then add the buyer as a friend in the app to transfer digital ownership.
I’m in America and just got my shipment from the kickstarter. I’m debating keeping the boxes closed instead of cracking them, but I was wondering if you had any thoughts on that. If the game takes off, the kickstarter displays will be a pretty penny, no?
I think it is a lot more common to speculate on TCGs now and it will take a while to drain all of the stores and backers before prices would ever get really really high but if you are patient it could definitely happen eventually. As long as people scan their cards though stuff should always be somewhat available to print unlike in other games where a bunch of first edition stuff can get lost or destroyed with time. With the unique system it is very easy to open a display with all duds and have trouble making your money back so if you are risk averse it could definitely be worth keeping things sealed. I wanted a playset of rares so I opened all of mine and it seemed worth it to me but if you can afford to buy singles or retail displays to open keeping things sealed is definitely an option.
@@skulphire3679 all of the above!
