Ahh… in the time that the Bible was written, the region where Israel (the nation) is located is referred to as Palestine (“land of the Philistines”). But I can see how in modern times, this may be confusing, so sorry about that. Technically, Hermon is the northernmost border of Israel, straddling Lebanon and Syria. So both would be correct I suppose. 😊

Today’s reading included Benaiah…the guy who struck down a lion in a pit on a snowy day. I highly recommend Mark Batterson’s book…Chase The Lion. The book will encourage you to grow and go with God!

Day 121 and I'm finally leaving this study. I'm leaving for a few reasons. I don't like that you always give your little spin on things instead of just stating the facts. I find it's hard for me to figure out facts from the Bible vs your spin/version of the Bible. Your last video on Psalms, the first reading. Psalm 102, verse 3. The person clearly said that he forgets to eat, and you totally switched it and said he has no appetite. That is two totally different meanings. As much as I want to learn the Bible, you make it hard for me to learn. I want to learn the Bible for what it is and you or anyone else personal take/version of it.
@BrownSuuga Although I didn't listen to the day you're describing, just jumped back on today, your thoughts made me curious. I follow along another reading plan with the ESV, CSB but also grabbed my NET (with 58,506 translator notes😁). In vs 4 it says for I am unable (Hebrew I forget) to eat food. "During this time of mourning the psalmist refrained from eating. In the following verse he describes metaphorically the physical effects of fasting. In verse 5 (Hebrew) the preposition at the beginning of the verse is causal; the phrase " sound of my groaning " is metonymic for the anxiety that causes the groaning. The point seems to be this: Anxiety (which causes the psalmist to groan) keeps him from eating (vs. 4)" I thought that was interesting. Hadn't interpreted these verses (vs 4 and 5) this way. I do, however, trust these study notes. Perhaps the Heart Dive team is doing the same and not just their own interpretation. Just a thought. Don't give up. ❤️🙏
