  • Have I ever novelized one of my scripts, and how do I decide if a story is more suited for a book or a screenplay?

This isn't a comment about this video in particular, but just to say I just discovered your videos, and I'm INCREDIBLY impressed. I see you're not getting a huge number of views, but I very much hope you'll continue because you're doing a good service to writers. Whether you stay at a few hundred, or you jump to thousands, you really should keep doing this as much as possible if you can.

Is it important for a screenplay to be as well written as a novel? Do the studios value ideas for movies above a writer's execution of them? Can a bad writer be a successful screenplayer?

This is fascinating. As you were discussing your stock character, I thought of Vonnegut's Kilgore Trout, who appears in so many different capacities throughout KV's bibliography.

you seem like a nice person, and i know it gets lonely. but a 27 min on a 5 min question is too much. its like asking for water, but get syrup instead if you catch my drift.
