    Does the new XPro II for Canon work correctly on the R5/R6 when using HSS and TTL simultaneously? The original XProC would default to full power when using HSS and TTL on the R5/R6. Godox acknowledged the problem but never came up with a fix. Hopefully this is it.

      Yeah that was exactly my question also. Did ask on Strobepro site but the question has not been answered.

      A question that you may have touched upon but not enough to clear it up for me. If I want to put the camera on a tripod and remote activate the shutter release and strobes…is there a small handheld wireless remote available? I presume I need a cable from the camera to the XPROII-C but… what remote transmitter would I use to release the shutter?
      Thanks

      @hizhuas that is my question...how to release the shutter? I am new to Godox gear. I have used Yongou triggers where a small trigger could be used to remotely fire the shutter release through the strobe trigger on the camera. In this case there was a short wire from the camera to the flash trigger on the camera.

    • @Strobepro

      Hi Rizky,
      There's no way to automate switching between different lighting setups. You do have some save slots where you can store and recall your group settings, and we cover that function at 55:16.
      The only other thing that might kind of resemble what you are talking about is the "Mask" function that is available on some Godox light. This function can be used to toggle when a flash fires (for example, on every second shot). It is accessed in the menus of the lights that support it, and not through the controller.
      If I missed something and you want further clarification, just let me know.

      @@Strobepro51:41 When you say one of the reason you would use/on Legacy Hotshoe is that- it will help in maximizing no. of frames in burst shot, since TTL and High Speed Sync gets disabled/not supported in that mode.

    the tcm function should be used all the time, as when light doesn't change, you want the settings LOCK that manual gives you, but the convenience of ttl to compute the exposure for you; so if, like a wedding photographer you go from inside to outside in the sunshine, then being able to 'assess conditions' and lock the setting in, ahead of time, so you just write down what each setting is, then it speeds up workflow.

    The FP Mark II may not have all of the new features, but it has many of them.
    Backlit buttons.
    Channel scan.
    Flip lock.
    Individual modeling lamp control.
    USB C Firmware update.
    Bluetooth.
    All of these were included years ago in the FP R2 Pro Mark II.
    It also has an extra setting available in the "Shoot" menu that allows only the App to change power levels from a paired smart phone, in addition to single and multiple shooters.

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro 11 месяцев назад

      These controllers are strictly radio. and they are not compatible with Nikon CLS. Nikon's CLS system relies on an infrared signal.
      Some flashes from the previous generation (the TT685N and V860iiN) could send and receive the CLS signal, but Godox discontinued support for that feature on the V1N, V860iiiN, and TT685iiN.
      To adapt your Nikon flashes to Godox's radio system, you would need Godox's X1R-N receivers. I hope this information helps!

    You say not to put different types of lights on the same group, but can you fire two groups at the same time? In my case, if I'm shooting a large room, I frequently setup 2-3 speedlites around the room. If I have a subject in the fill zone of one speedlite, I only want to trigger that one. But if I have a subject kind of in between or a large group, I might want to fire all of them. Is there a way do that?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro 2 месяца назад

      Hi Bobby,
      You can only use one channel at a time, but you can use up to 5 groups simultaneously. I hope that clarifies it!
      Lights put on seperate groups can be managed seperately. Lights put on the same group will all use the power setting applied to that group.
      When we suggest putting different lights on different groups, we are talking about lights of varying maximum powers. 1/1 on a speedlite is not the same as 1/1 on a 600Ws strobe, so you would want to manage those two lights separately in almost any situation.
      If you have two or more identical lights, there are situations where it will make sense to have them on the same group. For example, let's say you have two identical speedlites lighting a background from either side. Assuming you always want your background lights to use the same power setting, having them on the same group simplifies that for you.

      @Strobepro Месяц назад

      We show the Canon version of the XPro II in this videro, which has a few unique characteristics. On the Fuji version, sync functions can't be managed by the controller. They are accessed through the flash function menu in your camera.
      If you navigate there, you should see "TTL" regardless of whether you wish to use your flashes in TTL or manual. Leave this setting as it is, because it simply enables full communication with the controller.
      Under "Sync," you can change between first curtain, second curtain, and "FP" as needed. Select FP if you want to have access to high speed sync. With that configured, your flashes will automatically switch to HSS when you exceed your flash sync speed. If you are below your flash sync speed, you will get regular first curtain flashes.
      Let us know if you have any other questions or if something isn't behaving as described.

This is fine when working in a studio, but while outside working with HSS, I like to see what the background will look like before applying the flash. Is this the same issue with other cameras? The workaround is to turn off the trigger, get the background setting, then turn on the trigger. An extra step, but it works.

      @Strobepro 21 день назад

      Hey, sorry for the late reply! One thing you'll want to ensure when using the MF12 flashes is that your controller's distance mode is set to 0-30m. At its default range (1-100m), you could be getting misfires from one or more of your flashes on the macro ring.
      Multi mode is not supported on the MF-12 flashes, unfortunately. Godox's other speedlites like the TT685ii, V860iii, V1, and V1Pro do support multi mode.

    • @joshashdown4431
      @joshashdown4431 Год назад

      @@Fortespyproductions Hello. The banding is an issue where the flash and the read speed of the sensor do not sync even when you have the settings correct for HSS. Once you use a HSS capable flash with the Z9, anything that is illuminated by the flash will have dozens of lines across the entire frame after you exceed the native sync speed. This is not the bar at the edge of the frame you see with a mechanical shutter. This is due to the fact that the read speed of the Nikon Z9 does not match the pulse of HSS. I have verified this with NPS, Profoto, Westcott and Godox. All agree that it is an issue with no fix right now. Nikon says that the lighting companies need to fix it and they only can only confirm their top speedlight does not have this issue.
      I would attach a link to others online talking about it, but RUclips may not allow that.

      Hi Mike,
      Godox's latest products (including the XProII) use an update utility that is available for both Windows and iOS. However, many Godox products in active production use previous iterations of the update software, which only run on Windows. The latest products and all future products will be Mac-compatible, but it may be a while before we can say the whole lineup is Mac-compatible. Unfortunately, it is a hardware issue for the affected products, and Godox hasn't mentioned anything to us about iteration changes for their legacy products.
