- I've been wanting to make this lamp for a long, long, time! Eventually I finished the whisky bottle and I could make it.
It was an easy project, so I tried a mitered box joint to experiment and teach myself. In the end it's looks cool and I added it to my (growing) collection of custom lamps :)
Is it possible to have the measurements of the three pieces of wood you cut? And how many degrees did you then cut for the joints?
I will try to measure it soon :)
The parts are roughly, from top to bottom, 14, 33 and 27cm. I cut them at a 17-ish degree angle

I can see one of these in my future! Half the fun is emptying the bottle ;0 Cool design Sir-thank you for sharing. I do have one statement/complaint? Where are your safety glasses??? I bitch at everyone I see doing video's that are not wearing safety glasses, the reason being I am now blind in my left eye. Puts a serious crimp in a lot of things I used to truly enjoy doing. I ask you to try doing things like woodworking, welding, even soldering closing one of your eyes and you will see what I am talkng about. That's true, I should have wear glasses, especially with the router.. I have two pairs, but they are not comfortable to use with a dust mask and ear protection, I will get better ones !

I used my power tools, but you can make it with just a handsaw and a few chisels !

At what angle is it cut?
I don’t really now, I just make it by eye, so that the bottle is straight and come down on the middle of the bottom piece

Yes, indeed, but I only had led strips on hand when I did this one. I will definetly put better lights on the next ones !
