- A leading Christian campaign group has said the system for vetting asylum seekers - who are basing their claim on having converted to Christianity - needs to be strengthened.
It comes after Sky News obtained documents, showing the detailed arguments for why Abdul Ezedi was granted asylum in the UK, despite being a convicted sex offender.
He went on to attack a woman and two children with a chemical in south London in January.

people with a criminal record should not be allowed into the UK full stop.
We should be vetting the Christian group that allowed this. There should be one route through to immigration and that isn't through various groups. It should be through the HOME OFFICE.

Converting to Christianity should not influence asylum claims, especially when they have previously been rejected because of sexual /abusive traits.
Need someone with genuine common sense on the panels that make decisions.
We only want people that will contribute to this country and add to its safety, not criminals.

Why should later conversion favour a case anyway. Britain is de facto multicultural. It is nonsense to reward conversion, even if sincere. It should be based on objective judicial concerns.
