I tried dozens of methods available on the Internet, finally I put the memory card in a card reader and connected it to the computer via a USB port, and it worked, I hope someone will benefit from that
I thank you so much, I tried everything and nothing worked. Bought a USB card reader then inserted the SD in the USB slot. Then plug your USB and it works!
seems like am the only one who followed all the steps and ended up with the same problem. thank you for taking your time to create this but none of the solutions helped me. i think i need a miracle
I like what you were trying to show, but it's too difficult for a noob. I ordered a used laptop today and maybe when it gets here I can get this on the new laptop and follow along in steps and learn how to do what you were trying to show. I'll be able to watch on the laptop and do what needs to be done on my main computer. I plan on doing whatever it takes to de-bloat my main computer, put that on a new external hard drive and use it for my back up. I also have another older computer that I just ordered an SSD for and the mounting bracket and I'm going to give some sort of Linux a shot because I'm really beginning to dislike Windows. I'm subscribed now, so I'll be watching more of your videos to try to learn things. Too bad I'm getting such a late start in life as I'm turning 69 this month. Don't have long to live now. Just waiting to die at this point. Just burning up time till the end.
NOTE: if u have an usb or a sdxc card+adapter which has a physical lock function make sure that is off, and don't try to find a tutorial for hours like me :)
oh thanks god i find your comment man ur lifesaver i was searching for tutorials half an our and damn my sdxc adapter has a physical lock. i was wondering what was that for such a long time :Ddd
After I tried doing step 3, now every time I plug in something to my usb, it says "There's a problem with usb drive please scan..." how do I get back to normal, where it says the device is simply plugged into usb?
When I select my SD it says "this device cannot be accessed because it is smaller than 65535 sectors". The SD card is corrupted and I need to format it but in order to do so I have to remove the write protection that showed up ever since it got corrupted. Idk what to do anymore.🤦🏻♂️
What happened to me is I used my SanDisk Flash Drive for homebrew on the Wii U so it worked correctly as it should.. So I got tired of the Wii U asking me to format my USB Flash Drive so I went to a Homebrew App call "Hid USB" I have used this app before on my Toshiba hard drive before and I didn't have any problems, even went back and unlocked the device.. May be because the Homebrew App only works for Hard Drives and not Flash Drives at the moment.. I know one thing though, if I ever get this figured out and I have already erased the app "hid USB" from my memory card and internal memory cause I don't want to take the chance of it ruining my old console and destroying my hard drive..
None worked for me either, but I figured it out. Thought something was wrong so I reinstalled Windows 11, and it fixed it, till I updated and it set every USB drive to write protected. again. Then I thought it must be a bios setting. So I went to the bios and found a setting called Smart USB Protection, and it had a choice to make every USB drive read only, and I disabled it, and it fixed the problem. On Lenovo computers it s called Smart USB Protection, but is called other things on other PCs, so just look through your bios hardware settings, you will find it. For some odd reason an update automatically set it in my bios. Doing research it said the setting was actually added to the bios so companies could stop workers from taking files off the computer. They could still use USB drives, but only to read data. They could see what was on a drive, and copy the files from that drive, but could not format drives or copy files to USB drives. Apparently a bunch of companies asked computer makers for the feature to stop employees from copying files to USB drives. They set all USB drives to read only, set a bios password, then nobody can copy files to USB drives or format USB drives unless they have the bios password so they can change the setting.

Did you still have to format the microSD card or did it just work directly when using a USB card reader?
