  • Dad bought this off his friend Jim. Jim is just starting out collecting engines. He bought a few recently and decided he didn't want this one. We pulled the magneto off because we thought we were going to sell it. We pulled the crank guard off because we had to pull the piston because the rings were stuck and the little engine had no compression. We have 5- 4HP waterloo's in our stable already so we thought we would sell this Majestic, but after getting it running we decided not to sell it because out of all the 4HP's we have this one is the quietest, smoothest and nicest running.

Loosening up the rings really did the engine a lot of good. The cylinder, rings, and piston must have been in good shape. It's got a lot of snap in it's exhaust note. Great job! Bring us more videos like this! Good job nll on that too!

I love the line of the Majestic. Too bad the crank guard is not there. I love this engine. Mick.

Great video... my father and I restored an old Majestic in the late 70s, believe it was identical to yours but a bit earlier by the serial number. We painted it red and built a cart to haul it around on. Love these old "watch and grin" engines.

Thank you Wally. Don't worry, we won't paint it. I have had my fill of painting engines.

Don't worry the crank guard is lying in the floor behind the engine. We had just taken it off to pull the piston because the rings were stuck and it had no compression. Also, there is a Webster magneto on the shelf that we took off this engine because we "thought" we were going to sell it, but after getting it running we have changed our minds. So we plan on putting the mag and crank guard back on it, clean off some of the caked grease and make another video of me bump starting it.

The Majestic line moved on down the road. John and his Trademark lawyers took it a little too far

Im bored with these hit and miss videos because they just run the engine. you almost never hear these engines working like they were designed to. this one I just clicked on because in the thumbnail I thought it had a wooden flywheel

MF11283 yes your right but here is the thing the machinery that these thing ran (like windmill and separators ECT) were probably not made to last like the engines were you still see some of them around but not often
