It’s so fascinating seeing the reverence the Japanese have for the fine art of writing and the amount of personalization that goes into something most Americans eschew - postcards. Thanks for taking us on your journey to Loft - I’d love to behold the planner section!
Oh that planner section is just plain awful--I get so tired after looking thru it hahaha! It's unbelievable how many kinds of planners there are! Thank you for coming along!
I’ve promised my children and husband a family holiday to Japan when I graduate from my PHD (hopefully this year). We are all stationery obsessed so we will definitely be heading to the loft! Thank you for the virtual tour. X
Oh good luck with your PhD! That is such an awesome reward for an awesome accomplishment. Your family will absolutely LOVE Japan! Bring an extra suitcase to take back all your cool purchases!
I'm a fountain pen lover from Italy. I was sick (Nothing very bad buy annoying) in my bed looking for something that could stop my thoughts countinuously running in my head. This video relaxed me due to your voice and soft speaking and so the Natural healing of my body finally started during a restoring spleep. Thank you wish you the best from Italy. Keep on inkying (and gentle talking). We need videos like yours in fountain pen community.
OK, I'm sold on visiting LOFT IF I ever get to Japan. But there is so much eye candy in this video. Besides fun stationary (tulips) The park, bike path, there is beauty everywhere. I'm dreaming of Spring! Loved the beaker and ink shot...the tension and anticipation of the overflow!!! Stay happy
LOFT Looks really like a heaven for stationary lovers. It is a pitty that these kind of shops do not exist anymore in Germany. Also, thank you so much for showing Showa Koen with it's Japanese Gardens.
I just want to hold my breath at all of the beautiful and innovative stationary at Loft. You're so lucky. I wish we had stores like it here. I also love when you take us around Tokyo. Thank you for taking the time to share your part of the world.
I absolutely agree with you! Japanese stores seem to be so hesitant with overseas customers. But with Covid cutting into their profits, they may loosen up in the future. Some of the smaller stationery stores won't even ship within the country and they have started--so here's hoping!
I am, as usual, utterly charmed by the stationery items available in Japan--they seem to think of everything, and to cleverly combine beauty and function. Making a combined trip to Showa Koen and the somewhat more manageable Loft store nearby is a great tip. I can't wait to visit Tokyo Hands with you!
Oh my gosh, every town needs a Loft Stationary store. It would be like going to Disneyland and being overwhelmed with it's sights. I can't wait to visit a stationary store and put things in my little basket just for the heck of it!!! Sometimes spontaneous purchases turn out to be the best decisions. Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it. Please stay safe and well!
Thank you for another wonderful and relaxing video! Both Loft stores looked amazing. The tour of Showa Park was beautiful. Thanks you for the opportunity in win this Loft stationery giveaway!
I knew that Loft had a lot of stuff inside but I never imagined everythingwould be so awesome. Even when it lacks a bit on fountain pen items, the stationery looks amazing 💖
Wow, I imagine myself staying more than an hour just browsing through the stationery section of Loft. Thanks for sharing! Love the bike section of the park!
Another generous giveaway. Loft is very impressive; I loved the gear sign. Beautiful video; Showa Koen and the Japanese Gardens are truly stunning. I agree it's great that the park really has something for all ages.
Seriously! There are so many cool things to get over here. When I didn't live here and came an visited, I always traveled to Japan with 2 empty suitcases!
Wow, the stationary supplies from the Loft store are amazing. The Tea House and Japanese garden were very lovely. I'm kind of hoping you go back in the spring to film and put up the video on your channel. Thank you for sharing it.
This Loft's main store looks like a maze I could lost myself for many, many hours! ❤️ I've never been to Loft, but I'd love to go there. Thank you for another relaxing video, have a great day 😊
That was a wonderfully nostalgic video for me... I used to have a lot of meetings in Nihonbashi and there was a LOFT branch in one of the large buildings next door. It was a place I used to go to, partly to browse their interesting stationery and travel/hiking goodies (I bought my wife a small stylish backpack there which she loved) and partly just to relax from long business meetings, or find a cup of coffee in one of the many outlets in that building. There was always some irresistible notebook or similar to buy at LOFT. Japan is a paradise for pen and paper lovers and you are very lucky to have those wonderful shops all around you! Please do more videos of these fascinating shops...!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I enjoy Loft for their kitchen stuff too. And you are right, their bags and backpacks are awesome. I really enjoy living here!
I can hardly wait to visit Japan with my sister and do all the things you showed in this video. I love stationery, so Loft will certainly be on my list of stores to visit!
Thank you for your video about Loft! I love how your videos show the passion in Japan (and Asia) for stationary and fountain pens. I realize with each of your videos that if I lived in Japan, I would most certainly go broke shopping at all the amazing stores. Saving up now for when I go to my first ever pen show after the pandemic is under control. Chicago, maybe! Wishing you well and happy new year. Thank you for your videos!
Thank you so much for your kind words. I've not been to the Chicago Pen show and would love to go. I haven't been back to the States in so long! I hope to make it back when this pandemic settles down. Have fun at Chicago (if thats the one you go to!)
I would definitely add any Loft store on my go-to list when I get to visit Japan again. I love the kids' part of the park as well and I hope I can remember to go on a weekday so I can play all I want!
Wow..My son told me about the LOFT when he was stationed in Japan several years ago...it’s on my bucket list. I am always anxiously await your videos..🙏🏽
Love the tour of the beautiful park and visit to Loft! I really shouldn’t watch these videos because they send on a search of my favorite items! Thanks for another beautiful video Alesa!!
I went to Itoya in Tokyo before. It was so blissful and I picked everything I wanted. There was a giant windy wall just for their magnetic pinwheels. ... These trips tend to get me wistful.
Thank you for the tour of Loft stationary store and the beautiful park. It’s nice to see a little ofJapan which is one of the places I’d love to travel to someday! And as usual I LOVE your videos💕
Thank you for taking us on a trip in lockdown times :) Showa Park looks amazing, so beautiful and peaceful yet fun at the same time. The Loft store is impressive, I love how Japanese stationery is never just pretty but also very clever and practical.
I have to add Loft to my list of places to visit when I come to Japan. I hope you got the box with the clips of fountain pen and ink for yourself! Enjoyed seeing the beautiful stationary products and scenery in the park. Thanks for a relaxing video to wind down into the weekend with.
I'm so happy you think my video is a good way to relax! I do these giveaways because I can't possibly keep all this stationery stuff and it's fun to share it on a video and in real life--so no, the clips are in the bag! Thank you so much!
Wow, Tachikawa is so beautiful, I definitely have to go there on my next trip to Japan. Both the Loft and Showa Koen look like wonderful places to visit.
Alesa, thank you so much for this tour of Loft (the first store really is overwhelming), and also for the trip through the park that was really beautiful.
I think that LOFT would be the first place I would visit if I ever get the chance to go to Japan. Although I might spend all my money there and not get to visit all the other amazing places. Thanks for the tour of the store and the park.
Fabulous video! I would love to visit Japan but since I’m not traveling anywhere during the pandemic I’m delighted to watch you visit these enticing places. Thank you!
I know they aren't the ones you picked, but those dinosaur paper clips are incredibly cute! Loft looks like a fun store, and thank you for showing us Showa Koen.
Man, I miss visits to Japan, and I miss just walking around and visiting places like Loft on the way. I appreciate seeing all those little items cleverly designed for a very specific purpose, even if I don't have a use for many of them. The attention to details and quality of manufacturing across so many different items is quite attractive. Thanks for sharing.
It really is fun to just walk around Tokyo and check out the stores. You are so right about the attention to detail and quality--I really appreciate it. Thanks!
I will have to visit Loft someday! Japan looks so beautiful in autumn. If you are ever in San Antonio, there is a wonderful Japanese garden there. This was almost deja vu, with the teahouse and the lake. Thank you for the wonderful video!
Great video!! That to me was sooo interesting. I have never heard of Loft before this. If we had a store like that here in the US I would go to it every weekend. Love the park as well. That was a great choice to unwind. Seemed so peaceful there. You showed me things in this video I know I will never see. Again Thanks for such a great video of the Loft and the park.
Wasn't able to make it to Loft when I was in Tokyo. We're planning to come back and I'll definitely check it out. Tokyo is a pen and stationery enthusiasts ideal vacation spot!
I probably would spend hours at Loft. And probably be giddy with delight. How do they create such innovative stationary products that adds so much *bam* magic to the world we interact with. Ok on another note.... we need to have more sides with rollers that can accommodate adults. Bring back fun into our lives!
Oh my! I definitely want to go to LOFT! Whenever I visit Tokyo, that park is also gorgeous and the tea house looked like it came out of a beautiful anime.
There are no brick and mortar stores that cater to my stationary and fountain pen needs near me. I'm envious of your easy access to Loft and other stores just like it, but I'm also strangely thankful because I already indulge too much and much too often in what good sporadic stock my local bookstores have. 😁
I am probably too late commenting. But in any case I loved the LOFT we wisited when we where in Tokyo, I think we found it while wondering around Ginza in the rain. I still get thier event notifications, even though I can't read them or go. But it reminds me of the wonderful trip we had ☺️
Me: frantically taking notes for Tokyo visit itinerary to include all loft store locations. Also me: squealing about loft giveaway! I just LOVE your videos!
I wish we had similar stores to Loft here in the UK. Thank you so much for showing us around such a fabulous store. Hope you and yours are keeping safe.
I don't know how I missed this video! The shibuya Loft certainly is mind-boggling haha I only visit a couple times a year since it is so overwhelming lol.. Thank you for also showing us the beautiful Showa Park. We visited 1 time and my kids had a blast. We rented bicycles to get around since it was so big, but because of my horrible bicycle skills, we didn't get around much lol Thank you again for a fun video!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I've got a Tokyu Hands one coming up and that new Sailor store called Ancora. I can't wait till we can get together and geek out on stationery haha!
There are so many cute and pretty stationery items to be had in Japan, e.g. at Loft. I hope to travel to Japan and experience it in person. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! I hope you can make it out to Japan! I have another video about Tokyu Hands too, which is a great stationery resource. I'll probably post it after our "state of emergency" is over since I don't have enough film of it yet.
@@InkyRocks I'll be looking forward to the Tokyu Hands video. Japan just donated more than 1 million doses of the AZ vaccine to Taiwan. So appreciative!
@@InkyRocks We've had a surge of cases up north mostly which means we went from Level 2 to Level 3 (a "soft" lockdown) and fatality rates have gone up as well, so Taiwan is launching an all-out effort to get as many people as possible vaccinated asap, esp. with two major holidays coming up (Dragon Boat Festival and Tomb Sweeping Day) which could turn into superspreader events... This, too, shall pass.
Thank you for sharing. I would love to go to the LOFT. It looks like a fantastic store. I definitely know it would hurt my bank account. The gardens were beautiful. Again, thank you for sharing.
If only Loft stationary existed in the U.S. I ❤️ everything I just saw!
hahaha! That would be great!
I was sick (Nothing very bad buy annoying) in my bed looking for something that could stop my thoughts countinuously running in my head. hahaha! Thanks so much! I've had other people say the same thing--I put them to sleep! (I'm kidding). I'm glad you found it relaxing!
Stay happy
hahaha! I know! I figure watching that ink is so much more interesting than watching me just talk! Thanks!
The Loft is why I want to visit Japan. The tulip stationery is absolutely beautiful ❤️
Loft is definitely a must-see in Japan! Thank you!
LOFT Looks really like a heaven for stationary lovers. It is a pitty that these kind of shops do not exist anymore in Germany.
Also, thank you so much for showing Showa Koen with it's Japanese Gardens.
Thanks! It really is. I would love to see a German stationery shop!
You did a great job explaining many of the items unique to Japan. Stationary in Japan is so diverse and always inventive
Thanks so much. It’s pretty much a stationery heaven here!
I just want to hold my breath at all of the beautiful and innovative stationary at Loft. You're so lucky. I wish we had stores like it here. I also love when you take us around Tokyo. Thank you for taking the time to share your part of the world.

Today I learned about LOFT, and now I have an extra reason to go to Japan! They’ve got so many cute things!
That is so true! So many cool places and things to do here!
I've never heard of loft stores before, i'll have to remember that name if i ever come to japan!
Definitely! Plus, you'll love Japan!
Beautiful Japanese Gardens and Loft Stationery oh my!
Oh my! Thanks!
I'd be thrilled with a stationery store of any sort near me. Staples just doesn't cut it. Loft looks amazing!
It really is! You are so right about Staples!
Our trip to Japan was cancelled last year. This gives me a chance to add LOFT to the shops we will visit when we can travel again!
Silver lining to that cancelation! I can't wait till I can travel again too!
I am so jealous of these Japanese stores, and so incredibly annoyed that they never ship internationally.
I absolutely agree with you! Japanese stores seem to be so hesitant with overseas customers. But with Covid cutting into their profits, they may loosen up in the future. Some of the smaller stationery stores won't even ship within the country and they have started--so here's hoping!
I love your videos, so soothing! Thanks for sharing Japan and its culture; and of course, thank you also for sharing your visit to the Loft store.
Thank you so much! I wish I could make exciting videos hahaha!

Thank you so much for your supportive words! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Keeps me wanting to make these videos!
Thank you for taking us along on an adventure through Loft!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loft was definitely my first stationery shopping destinations in Japan when I went a few years ago. I spent 4 hours there the first time!
hahaha! I totally understand! I love the place, but it wears me out!
Wow! Thank you for this gorgeous video of armchair travel through the Park and the guided tour of Loft!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
out of all of the things you showed, that lipgloss page flag thing is my fave! How adorable!
The marketing for some of this stuff is amazing--so clever!
What incredible stationery at LOFT.
Thank-you for the work you put into making these videos
Thank you so much! I appreciate comments like these when I'm desperately trying to get a video posted at 2 in the morning hahaha!
Thank you for this wonderful visit to Loft and to the park. Such a relaxing visit!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
I've never even heard of loft! I love all the new things you're always showing us - also, those were beautiful gardens!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Your kind comment keeps me making these videos--thanks so much!
The leaf note is very clever.
It is!
I knew that Loft had a lot of stuff inside but I never imagined everythingwould be so awesome. Even when it lacks a bit on fountain pen items, the stationery looks amazing 💖
Yes! I can certainly forgive it for it's weak fountain pen selection because the stationery is so good!
Thank you for another wonderful video showcasing Japanese stationery. Loft is definitely a destination when in Japan.
Thanks so much for watching!

Wonderful video as usual. After the sensory overload of Loft, your tour of that lovely, peaceful park was most appreciated!
Thank you so much! It really is a beautiful and fun park. I didn't even show a fraction of it!
I bet! Hope you’re having a relaxing afternoon as NYC (mostly) goes to sleep!

You can definitely get "lost in Loft"! Thank you so much!
That garden is lovely, but your haul from Loft was amazing. I particularly like the Gloss-stick markers, and ring leaf. Very handy!
Aren't they crazy--and cool? Japanese stationery is always so much fun!
That was a wonderfully nostalgic video for me... I used to have a lot of meetings in Nihonbashi and there was a LOFT branch in one of the large buildings next door. Thanks for sharing your stationary expedition Inky. I look forward to the day when I can fly to Japan again and experience such Loft-y delights.
hahaha! I look forward to the day when I can fly just about anywhere! You will certainly enjoy Loft! Thanks so much!
I would definitely add any Loft store on my go-to list when I get to visit Japan again. I love the kids' part of the park as well and I hope I can remember to go on a weekday so I can play all I want!
It's the best--fresh air, nature, exercise...and stationery!
You have the coolest stuff. Your home must be like it’s own store with beautiful things to look at with stories behind each item.
Thank you! I try to keep the clutter down, but sometimes it's just clutter hahaha!
Loft looks like such a fun store to browse, and that park is beautiful!
Yes to both! I so enjoy going out to Tachikawa!
I loved visiting Loft, I'd be there for a couple of hours, the stationery department is my favorite area.
It's mine too--though the kitchen floor is fun too!
Loft looks amazing, but I’d be totally overwhelmed by it! Great video.

Basically every time you make a video about a location, I add it to my Must-Go list. LOFT is now on the list!
Yaaay! Loft is super fun, and it has all kinds of other stuff there. I have a titanium insulated cup I bought there 5 years ago and still use it!
Love the tour of the beautiful park and visit to Loft! I really shouldn’t watch these videos because they send on a search of my favorite items! Thanks for another beautiful video Alesa!!
Thank you so much for your continued support and positive messages! Glad you liked it!
Office Depot has nothing on Loft! Loft wins hands down. Amazing scenery at the park, too! Thanks for the video.
Thank you! It really is much more fun that Office Depot!
Arm chair traveling. Thanks for shopping at a stationery store like Loft. Really makes me miss Japan
Thanks for watching! You need a return trip!
I went to Itoya in Tokyo before.
It was so blissful and I picked everything I wanted.
There was a giant windy wall just for their magnetic pinwheels.

These trips tend to get me wistful.
I can imagine! You need to make another trip out here! I love Tokyo.
I’ve always wanted to visit Japan with my daughter, now I know I need to go!

Thank you so much! I hope you can make it out here one day!
Thank you for taking us on a trip in lockdown times :) Showa Park looks amazing, so beautiful and peaceful yet fun at the same time. The Loft store is impressive, I love how Japanese stationery is never just pretty but also very clever and practical.
Yes, the clever part always amazes me! Thank you!
I’m sitting in my loft craft room watching this gorgeous video. Thanks for this 🥰
Thanks so much! If you really do have a loft craft room, I am so jealous!
@@InkyRocks I do, if you count the second floor of our house. It has some slanted walls and a small bay window. ☺️
I would love to go to Loft. All the different stationery options would be so much fun to browse and try out. The parks seem really beautiful too!

I have to add Loft to my list of places to visit when I come to Japan. I hope you got the box with the clips of fountain pen and ink for yourself! Enjoyed seeing the beautiful stationary products and scenery in the park. Thanks for a relaxing video to wind down into the weekend with.

Thanks so much for watching! It really was a fun trip!
@@InkyRocks I can only imagine how beautiful the park is when the sakura bloom.
@@ad6449 it's gorgeous. But interestingly, when the ginko trees turn yellow in the fall, it looks golden!

Loft is my version of heaven 🥰🥰🥰
hahaha! That's a fun heaven! 😊
Thanks for showing that something like loft exists, even if it is too far from europe for a shopping trip.
hahaha! Yes, it's a little far. But I would love to go to Europe for a shopping trip!

I'm envious of your easy access to Loft and other stores just like it, but I'm also strangely thankful because I already indulge too much and much too often in what good sporadic stock my local bookstores have. 😁
I so hear you! I have to maintain strict discipline with my wallet and am not always successful!
I am probably too late commenting. But in any case I loved the LOFT we wisited when we where in Tokyo, I think we found it while wondering around Ginza in the rain. I still get thier event notifications, even though I can't read them or go. But it reminds me of the wonderful trip we had ☺️
That's great! The best way to discover a city, sometimes is to just wander around!
My wife and daughter would love this store... and me too.
Everyone does! It has other cool stuff like camping equipment, kitchen stuff, furniture etc too!
It would be a wonderful day to be able to spend the morning at Loft and then take my purchases to the park and play.
Throw in a cup of really good Japanese coffee and that would be a perfect day!
Would love to shop there in the future. Nice insight in the store and overwhelming assortment. Loft seems like fun.
It really is fun! There are all kinds of other stuff there too. Their kitchen area is amazing along with their unusual "electronics".
Me: frantically taking notes for Tokyo visit itinerary to include all loft store locations.
Also me: squealing about loft giveaway!
I just LOVE your videos!
hahaha! You will love ALL the stationery stores here! Thank you so much!
I wish we had similar stores to Loft here in the UK. Thank you so much for showing us around such a fabulous store. Hope you and yours are keeping safe.
Thank you so much! Take care💞
Hope they have more fountain pen options when I get the chance to visit Loft! 😊 🖊 📄
Don't worry, though they don't have a bunch, plenty of other stores do hahaha!
I want a LOFT store, I would go nuts shopping there. Fun video, thanks.
Thank you so much! I have, on occasion, gone nuts there hahaha!
Thanks for giving me an idea where to go once the pandemic lifts! Might go for both LOFT branches featured here.
You'll need to go to Tokyu Hands too! I'll be doing a video on that in a few weeks! Thanks!
@@InkyRocks looking forward to it!
Makes me want to go back visit Tokyo again. I visited 4 yrs ago, but did not get a chance to go LOFT.
If you make it back out here, you must go! But I'm sure you had fun being that it was Tokyo!
Wandering in Loft. What a wonderful way to spend some time. (And a lot of money I suspect. )
hahaha! I always have to keep a tight handle on my wallet when I go in there. Loft is dangerous!
I loved everything in this video, thanks for taking the time to make and edit it for us.
Thank you so much Linda--glad you enjoyed it!💕
I don't know how I missed this video!
@@yuklimka7251 Wow, I did not know that! Hope you are doing good in Taiwan. I hope I can make it out there this year--still too early to tell!
Thank you so much! Trips to Tachikawa are fun, but they definitely hurt my wallet!
