how this video popped at the perfect time and i am glad it did 💙

I have done my b tech in computer science but now working in Finance module , like I realised after few years I am not machine that I can write codes all day , I don't have interest in coding , after 4 years of engineering and also ,noone is teaching coding skills in college days, they just make us to pass in exam.
True, isn't that the story of most B.Tech grads 🤔
Where did u do engineering from?
Womp womp
Bro u just did btech cs without any prior knowledge and coping hard
Why the fk did you take btech cse, if you didn't have interest and was just gonna drop it
Imagine some big nerds who score good marks in 12th and entrance exams just to take btech cse and after that just do upsc mpsc or other exams which they could have done before,
This takes up the seat for actual talented or hard working students who have an interest in cse or know some basics of it
They don't get a seat in a good university, think that cse is bad, don't get job opportunities, while there are nerds who reject job opportunities and go for further studies,
in a nutshell, todays era has been dominated by btech cs students many of which don't even know how to operate a computer or never even researched for what is it, they only have fixated cse means good pay in their mind and nothing else
@@Omkar_Rangole tru bro , these fuckin nerds doesn't know shit bout computer
Great Insights, Sir. Could you please make a video on Data Science as well. or self studying through online resources. Thank you.
More videos on CSE specializations are dropping soon! Hope you'll get some great insights 😉 Stay tuned to Kalvium.
thanks for this video!!!
By analysing the CSE syllabus, you are only explaining about the 1st year syllabus. I agree that 1st year syllabus contains more of general papers but from 2nd year onwards we get to deal with core papers in majority.
You're right, of course. But why spend 25% of your college time on subjects that aren’t really relevant to your chosen speciality? Are the current teaching methods effective enough, or is there any room for improvement? Shouldn't we shift our focus from 'teaching' to 'learning'? In addition to concepts, how about incorporating more current tech-stacks into our curriculum? Are large classrooms and traditional lectures truly the best environments to learn new technology, or should we explore more student-centric approaches? Should labs only follow set experiments, or could there be room to innovate and create? If students undertake such projects, will they receive credits or grades? Why aren't internships an integral part of the curriculum, complete with credit during class hours itself? Is it preferable to have mentors dedicated to student progress rather than experts focused on just covering the syllabus? Isn’t it better to have specific daily feedback across key parameters a way to compound learning? Shouldn’t we borrow from the latest developments in the science of learning to inform how we go about college?
In a nutshell, We would like to offer an alternate paradigm to undergrad education. And offer those who might seek such an option a legitimate mainstream choice. That's all 😀
@@Kalviumi believe that the common syllabus thing works best only if students have the freedom to change their branch from 3rd sem onwards, but i do not understand why branch change is able to happen only for 3% students(for IITs) that wish to do so.the number can not be 100% ofcourse because of available seats and what not but it has to be higher as such students must be present in numbers that too in each branch.i do not understand why such criterias of good cgpa...etc are imposed on branch change, would love your insight on this.

Starting coding in 9th standard? Awesome! 😎 Unlike your friends in 12th grade, you've got plenty of time to figure out whether you want to go for CSE or specialization. To help you decide, think about which coding domain you enjoy the most.
will this program allow me to do further studies..?? as it provides only subjects related to computer science in 2nd,3rd nd 4th years?
Yes, You can absolutely do further studies 😀 If you wanna know more about us, why not call 9483200300
Bro there are like endless things to do after B Tech, do MBA or anything, CA, UPSC, any other things you wanna learn, even law. Possibilities are endless after having a technical degree. I think there are diploma for other streams so like if you wanna do mechanical or smth else, you can get a diploma
My college's syllabus is way better than ther first year syllabus of IIT KGP. Though we also had Physics and Chemistry but we did not have to learn useless subjects like Engineering Drawing, BEEE Civil Engineering, etc. We already learnt two languages along with DSA (though in C) . We also had Linux as a Practical only subject. Now, I feel good I took my college. And also there is no strict attendance policy so we can learn other relevant skills to get the job.
Which college?
Probably BITS or new gen colleges like scalar ig?
Can't wait to know the institute name 🤔
Please tell the name?

Thats why im thinking about persuing BCA pls tell me if bca is a good choice or btech for software development
They are all equally useful if they give you adequate hands-on learning and real world experience. Choose carefully and learn with joy.

Valuable video. I have a question though. Isn't the chemistry, biology part there to develop basic rational and scientific thinking skills. I know the curriculum is quite similar to the school ones, but don't they teach keeping in mind that most students, especially ones from humble backgrounds might not have learnt the concepts the right way in the first place. I understand that a lot of it seems unnecessary and outdated, but I am curious to know if my thought process is right.
Anyone is open to correct me. Please reply.
@jahnvisingh8015 appreciate your line of thought. Basic rational & scientific thinking is key, but that isn't built through rote learning of biology and chemistry.
Instead, what students should rather focus on are critical thinking, problem solving and learning how to learn. These are domain agnostic and help build basic scientific temperament.
These are also what students formally learn at Kalvium in a structured process. These with deeper focus on their subject of choice - Computer Science engineering, allows them to be better techies for the future.
Trust that helps 😀
@@Kalvium sir I really feel you... that line "rote learning of biology and chemistry" 🤣🤣 tbh the worst subjects lol... maths is much much better

Sir i took cse in tier 2 college through state exam but i realised at the end of 1st semester that i dont like coding my interest does not lie there but i dont know where my interest lies so i wrote jee main and got 98% but i still dont know what to choose
If you like mechanics, like pulley problems and such u can take civil,if you like to draw electrical circuits, like by heart the circuit and spit it into the paper, take electrical or electronics,if you want easy math take cse (there is a lot to study in theory),if you like graphics, take mechanical
@abhinave9271 the shortest path to finding your true interests is not always a straight line. And there can be more than one too !!

Im getting NIT Warangal Metallurgy and interested in coding then should take it?
Will company allow metallurgy student of top nit for cse placements?
Or should i go to lower iiits cse?
Plz reply
Most good companies look for the right skills, irrespective of the degree. BUT, if you are truly interested in coding and still choose metallurgy, you are signing up for 4 years of classroom sessions that you will dislike, assignments that you aren't interested in and find less time to do what you like doing - coding. Instead choose a course that allows you maximum time to do & develop the skills that you want to succeed in. Choose a CSE program, preferably that focuses more on coding and subjects that you will truly enjoy working on.
what percentile??
I love math but I hate it the instant it becomes for a test or a burden of a syllabus.😂 so discreet math will do! Probability is my fav
You got us when you said exams turn love for learning into a burden. Do you want to join CSE at a college which doesn't have written exams? 🤔
(hint : call 9483200300 ..)
@@Kalvium not really. Its not like I hate exams. Exams are crucial for better assessment of ourselves after all. Just hate the fact that all we study our asses off for an exam. They should be a help in learning, a map, not destination.
Bingo !! Kalvium has continuous assessments that do precisely that, help assess our depth in formative and summative ways.
What we have done away with is rote-based-written-exams. Accumulated and regurgitated versions of overnight end-semester ones. Call us to know how we do it 😀

sir can we take cyber security in betech. Currently I am in class 12th and will give jee in next year. And I am highly interested in that

What do you know about cyber security and what are your interests in it?
Bsc computer science or bsc (hons) cybersecurity
Check how many core subjects in cybersecurity the curriculum covers. Additionally, determine whether it provides sufficient hands-on experience. This applies not only to the cybersecurity specialization but also to other fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and more.
I have 2 options. BTech Cse in tier 2 university, india or Bsc Cs in UK. India is more theoretical and uk is more practical. What u think? Which one best in your perspective?
A Bsc in CS from UK will get you 50lpa easily. And the networking is awesome and you meet new people. Idk why anyone would take btech in cse in india if he can go to UK. You can forget theoretical stuff easily compared to practical stuff. I also want to pursue BSc in CS in US for which I do have a seat for it, but the problem is I can't afford it. If you can go to the UK, just do it.
idk where your sister got into. I got into rutgers-new brunswick campus which is in new jersey. It's 6th best university in new jersey (one of the capitals of USA). It's ranked 40 among 400 public uni. So it's a top 10% public university. I got 10k scholarship for new brunswick campus and 17k dollars scholarship per annum for camden campus. It's a public uni so the fee is gonna be really less compared to other uni. Good uni in us costs like 80k per annum, it costs like 40k for me to go to a top 10 public uni, which is ranked like 1300 best in the world. IIT bombay is ranked 150 in the world. I am more of a smart worker than a hard worker, so I thought, why do I have to compete against the geniuses of india, when I can get into a college which is equal to an IIT (not talking about IIT bombay). I can't afford it so I am not going to attend that uni even though when I want to. btw, in the rutgers web statistics, they say a median package of 100k dollars which is like 85lpa as a fresher in BSc not even MSc. ofc you won't make it if you are lazy. It's new jersey so there is a lot of networking and a ton of job opportunities. I am telling it's a piece of cake to get 100k per annum as a fresher. You have to work hard to achieve it. What I am saying is, do you want to compete against 12 lakh people in JEE and have a less than 0.01 percent chance for atleast any IIT. The acceptance rate of rutgers-new brunswick is like 50% and it is known for its academically rigor. Reconsider what you said. I researched for like 4-5 months and spend like 2 months for application essays, rec letters etc in my 12th grade. Do you think I'd do it without expecting a good outcome ?? You may think " Why did he spend so much time for application if he won't even attend that uni, ye faltu ke bate kar raha hai". I wanted to go to stanford university. I know I know, it's one of the best uni in the entire world and its really hard to get into so why did I bother to apply ? It's because they provide full ride scholarships. Its acceptance rate is like 4% which is much higher than IIT's. I don't think you would even bother reading all this
@@pavankumargaming9014 Bro i can't also afford it. I planning to take loan. We can easly pay back the loan after graduation. But in the case of us. I dont recommend you to go for it. Do BSc in UK and MSc in US. This is the best option. Becouse there is high living expense in US. But UK is student friendly. You can easly get partime here. And you can also do MSc in US after graduation. This is my plan. Btw USA is my dream country since my childhood... Good Luck👍🏻

@billyid - first things first, do not be so harsh on yourself. As odd as it might sound, exams are NOT a good measure of your potential. Nor are they a measure of what impact you can have in the REAL WORLD.
So whichever college or course you choose, just ensure that you build skills and are grounded in the real world and have left the rat race for marks for good. 😅😀

Excuse me, i strongly disagree with Engineering drawing that it's more of Civil and Mech thing. Engineering drawing of you get it right will be a biggest asset for any engineer in any stream. Essentially engineering is about visualizing things that are not there in a free canvas. Software engineers need this skill the most and it's extremely lacking
We welcome diverse perspectives 😇
Perhaps what you are referring to is design thinking, which is critical to get right with both functional and aesthetic aspects baked right into the product. This is missed in many UG programs and Kalvium has that covered right from semester 1.
w.r.t Engineering drawing, you nailed it with "if you get it right". The current version in practice - syllabus (focus on perspective and projection) and pedagogy (pen & paper oriented) - probably don't and short sell future software developers.
Is it true? Btech without science is (BCA, MCA)
Hmmm... not sure if that is fully accurate. But degrees and subjects aside, curiosity and hands-on learning is something more valuable for any learning.
2024 scheme is changing
Right? ( KTU )
Hey, not clear about your question...
Sorry sir but you are somewhat misleading.
IITs and NITs in general for 1st year roughly for all students irrespective of branches have same syllabus. So, to give proper background in engineering and clear the fundamentals.
And, later from 2nd, 3rd and 4th year they start their respective branch studies.
Don't mislead people. I know as you said most people don't look course syllabus and fall for video like yours.
You're right, of course. And there are other videos too which break-down the full 4 years curriculum too.
We are all for learning.
But then higher education and especially a “professional course” like BTech is supposed to prepare you specifically for a career in your chosen stream. Get you up to date with the tech of the day so that you can kickstart a career.
That being the case why spend 25% of your college time on subjects that aren’t really relevant to your chosen speciality? Or just revisional or theoretical extensions of high school?
Isn’t that time better spent going deeper into your chosen speciality. Becoming more professional from day 1?
And this isn’t to criticise other methods.
At Kalvium we offer an alternate paradigm to undergrad education that is focused on fantastic career outcomes. And to students who resonate with this paradigm, offer a mainstream option from top universities that they can pursue 😀

Hey Azzam, for admission, one's age should be between 16 and 20 years.
This video is downright, the least researched video you could have ever made. To those who don't know, all students in IIT Kanpur first year have the same syllabus, irrespective of their branch. It is actually from 2nd year that the Core CSE curriculum starts. The following are the courses which are taught in 2nd and 3rd Year CSE at IIT Kanpur, but they were not even mentioned once in the video:
1 CS201 Mathematics for Computer Science - I
2 CS202 Mathematics for Computer Science - II
3 CS203 Mathematics for Computer Science - III
4 CS220 Computer Organisation
5 CS220 (L) Computer Organisation (Lab)
6 CS251 Computing Laboratory - I
7 CS252 Computing Laboratory - II
8 CS253 Software Development and Operations
9 CS300 Computer Science and Engineering Communication Skills
10 CS315 Principles of Database Systems
11 CS330 Operating Systems
12 CS335 Compiler Design
13 CS340 Theory of Computation
14 CS345 Algorithms II
15 CS350 Principles of Programming Languages
16 CS360 Introduction to Computer Graphics
17 CS365 Artificial Intelligence
No wonder why he did not tell about them. You know why? KALVIUM iS oBvIOuSly bEtTeR tHaN IIT Kanpur CSE. The Institute who introduced CSE to Indian Education system is terrible in front on KALVIUM.
picking up the first year and calling it the CSE course was crazy, also a lot of colleges like top IIITs focus on core cs subjects at the beginning. very misleading video indeed
You're right, of course. Constructive criticism is welcome. AND. We do have other videos too that break down the entire 4 years of the curriculum too...
You're right, of course. And there are other videos too which break-down the full 4 years curriculum too.
But then why spend 25% of your college time on subjects that aren’t really relevant to your chosen speciality?
Are the current teaching methods effective, or is there any room for improvement? Shouldn't we shift our focus from 'teaching' to 'learning'? Are large classrooms and traditional lectures truly the best environments to learn new technology, or should we explore more student-centric approaches? Bro same here I am a dropper too and got 92 %ile in JEE so now I am giving comedk to get a seat in RVCE AI/ML. You should give other exams too. Don't get depressed, life is hard and challenging but you must face it. Don't run from it
IT is better
We have analyzed the four year curriculum of B.tech IT too. Watch here -> ruclips.net/video/uUDhgCelLvA/видео.htmlsi=2uj0EEyqJ1K9OEAa
Sir again physics😭😭
Yup
Do what ever u like . Degree only need for marriage purposes. 😂
😂 Ha ha true... even there the weights are decreasing
Yeah, when i saw 1st year CSE syllabus for Sem1 i got so bored.
Yes, and don't let that fire of passion fade out due to boredom.
This is why IIITH curriculum is great, it doesnt follow this lame structure
The thing is, it is like impossible to get into iiit hyd even when you are an instate student. Pls tell me how to get in if you know. I got 974/1000 in state board and got only 77 percentile in JEE mains. I am preparing for TS eapcet.
@@pavankumargaming9014 In case you ended up in a college u didn't want to, you can join IIITH after your Btech 2nd year through LEEE
@@ChaosChuckler Yeah, and pay 4lakh fee per annum. Surely can't afford it.
@@pavankumargaming9014 I agree but that's worth if your Btech college is worse
@@ChaosChuckler I am trying for malla reddy, keshav memorial, mgit, vardhaman, vasavi, etc. If I get a rank under 10k in ts eamcet, my whole tution fee will be paid by the gov of ts. So this is the best option rather than selling an arm and a leg for my degree. In fact, all these are top 10 colleges in telangana. I just have to perform my best in the entrance exam that I have in a week. Thanks for the info though, much appreciated 👍🏻.
