NBC used to do a great job showing the bands at halftime of The Rose Bowl.Let ESPN know that it is an outrage what they`ve done with The Rose Bowl! BRING BACK THE MARCHING BANDS AT HALFTIME OF THE ROSE BOWL
It's 2023 now and MY OH MY how things have changed. The Rose Bowl and all of the other Bowls are near extinct and mean nothing now that they have the Playoff. Marching Bands have been replaced by horribly choreographed satanic garbage
@@jamesmarkscott6202 This is close to 160 bpm, typical for the 1970s, but definitely faster than now. The band is noticeably less physical than it was.
@@jimbizness3864 while the band is still recovering from covid there was a change in tempo from 150 to 136, the band could technically play this at a higher speed it was just at the choice of the directors. Also script looks alot cleaner nowadays than it does this recording.
@@andre7089 Tempos slowed prior to COVID. They simply don't pick up their feet as high, especially at higher tempos. It's related to a move toward corps style. They play great. Just not as physical.
1974...1994....2024....2186...Doesn't matter the year, this will always be the best damn band in the land
1974 or 2022, it looks and feels the same. Love TBDBITL.
I should have read further down before I left my comment. I agree 1,000,000%
Fastest version of Le Regiment ever.

Good to know that even back then the band was using props.
This was the last year for the all male band members I believe...
1973 was the first year with female band members. This version of the band included five women.
@@jimbizness3864 the tempo for script ohio was a little quicker it seemed in the early 70s

Since NBC lost the Rose Bowl it's just another bowl game jammed in with the rest of them.
Even worse now with the Playoffs. And don't get me started on conference expansions
You're damn right, nobody does it better. We may not always have the #1 team in the land, but we always have the #1 band in the land.
Jeez...lots of these college kids are almost 60.
Barry Kopetz doing a great job as Drum Major! MIB that year I believe...
Do you happen to have the footage of the SC band? We were with Tower of Power that year. Great to see the OSU band in action.
Great Video! The last time we beat USC.
GO BUCKS!!!!
