How to Fix Sims 4 Platforms Bugs/Glitches | 2020 Platform Free Game Update!

- I LOVE that we have platforms in The Sims 4 now!! But, there are also a few bugs/glitches that I've been noticing as well. I found fixes for 2 of the bugs/glitches I've come across so far. I don't know if these are going to be fixed in a future patch or not, so here's a temporary workaround! Let me know in the comments if you've come across any other bugs/glitches and if you need help determining how to fix them!
The two issues I fix in this video are the following:
1. When you try to place an interior rounded platform and try to close the walls around it, the wall deletes the platform.
2. When you try to place a wall around a platform, the entire platform raises up and deletes everything inside of the room.

I found a bug that wont let me go up or down floor levels, and wont put down or up my walls. I cant go into bird view of my build either. Been stuck for 2 days trying to fix the issue but cant find a way to fix it.
Newest update on both game and console(ps4)
Have deleted and reinstalled the game.
Troubleshooted both the game and ps4.
Restarted game.
Deleted all my save files and put them back again.
Deleted all my save files and started from scratch.
NOTHING have fixed the glitch/bug/issue....
I’ve got a problem with platforms… when I try to add stairs between platform levels the floor tiles under the stairs vanish and the Sims can’t use the staircase. It affects all my rooms where I’m using platforms. Super irritating. Anyone have a fix?

I’m trying to build a house but the wall is sunken into the ground.
I'm more concerned why round platforms still leaves no flooring effect near corners, they made it to use inside, right? ugh when we will get something well done in this game?

I found a very annoying bug building a house i've been making before the update. The house has several floors, and on each floor theres a round terrace. For some reason, I can't place anything on the terrace (only on the round bits of foundation), and at some angles the floor disappears and I can see the room below. It's also really hard to put any flooring, since it's hard to click the actual floor, because it selects the bottom floor. It functions as if it was a deleted roof. I haven't deleted the roof, but just in case I put on a random foundation to cover those areas and still it does the same thing.
Super helpful, there are a lot of bugs with the platforms, The one where it raises up has been driving me CRAZY!!!! I also hate that using fences is a mess with platforms...
I hope a patch comes out soon!!
I'm trying to do this thing in one room where i delete the platform box / floor to make it split levels kind of, the problem is the platform on the inside of the building near the front door is bugged and it's invisible to where you can see out the outside of the building. but on the outside of the building the platform is still there and not invisible.
There are easier solutions to this and solutions that don't 'break' your room like you did with the bedroom. The bedroom does not count as a separate room like that and will not be paintable as such either:
1) for the disappearing platform: just click the wall that disappeared (click the platform and select the back 'wall' and choose: build full wall
2) for the raising platform (I do hate this one): build a platform (or deck if raising one tick is NOT an option) over the room you want and click the 'walls' to build full wall. If you use decks, don't forget to re-add the ceiling!
My platforms wont colour using the trim nothing happens any ideas what im doing wrong?

Thanks, but I were hoping for a solution for my problem: every time i wanna use platforms and the room seems to be closed (like its roofed and dark, just like closed rooms normally are), but roofs always clip through the wall, not like normal rooms when they're inside the roof and make them seethrough

I have the issue that the roof is removed once I place a platform, very annoying, but never had this :(
The fact this is still an unfixed bug almost a year later is bad..

So..there's a lot in island life that's mostly in the water so of course I'm putting my house up on a stilt foundation, however the rooms/building sink under the foundation and I can't raise anything without it raising everything at once. Any tips? 🥲 (ps4 btw)

I'm trying to raise my house but there's one part that isn't raising so now my house has uneven floors. It says "unable to raise platform." I cut my house into 3 parts ig, bc the living room and kitchen jut out, and so does the bedroom at the end.
Hi! I’m having some issues with platforms messing up rooms. Placing them against walls in rooms on upper house level ruins the roof clipping.
I've seen that too! And sometimes Sims can't walk up the stairs. I'm gonna toy around with these and see if I can find something on them :)
That’s happening to me too, whenever I place a platform in the room it gets rid of the outer walls by the platform and clips the roof through the walls
oh my goodness I have been having this glitch for so long!! does anyone know of a fix for it yet?
I hope this video comments are still getting responses, I have a issue that has not been mentioned. I built a platform in a basement and, the first level foundation disappeared. You can see into the basement top side. I tried covering it with tiles and the game says there must be a foundation to lay flooring. How do I fix it? Thank you in advance.

I recently got City Living yesterday or the day before. It’s my only pack, if that info helps. Currently I’m playing in 702 ZenView and I changed the upstairs floor plan a bit and made a small room where that awkwardly small little side hallway thing is next to the door, and that’s pretty much all I changed other than moving the balcony door and adding furnishing. In one of the upstairs rooms I’m working on a split level bedroom for two girls in the upstairs, split level meaning there’s a nine tile platform that fits a bed and a dresser. I noticed after messing around with the platform that my apartment was lop-sided ish. Not the inside of the apartment itself but the entire floor (not the floor, like the entire part of the building) is moved over and back one tile on each side, I can see straight through the the building to the ground below. There’s also a line thing that was circling the entire building if that makes sense that’s now showing inside of the apartment and in what I can see if the apartment next to my Sims. It’s kind of annoying looking and my game for whatever reason isn’t letting me save the apartment at all, I know you have to save them as rooms and I’m trying to save them as separate ones but I’m unable to.

I also just figured out that you can use the arrows of a uncompleted wall to connect it with another wall without the platform raising higher.
