  • The Biggest Lie in Game of Thrones ''The Magic''.
Magic never existed in the Game of Thrones universe? When we talk about resurrections, dragons and white walkers, it is inevitable to think about the magical aspect of the Game of Thrones universe, something that although it is usually kept in the background, is one of the most important elements of this universe. But perhaps, the magic in this world is not what we think? What if magic actually does not exist, and what we see is the result of thousands of years of experiments in this universe? What would you think if I told you that there is evidence suggesting that magic is not what we originally thought, and that there might even be aliens in this universe? What if behind the marriages between the Targaryen and the prophecies, there is a kind of ancient technology hidden? Could it be that behind the transformation of the Mountain is hidden the truth of magic in this world? Today we're going to take a closer look at magic in this universe, and the theory pointing to the fact that magic in Westeros doesn't actually exist. And for more videos from the Game of Thrones universe, don't forget to subscribe to this channel. Welcome.

I would just consider it a magical system in this universe, regardless of if it is "magic". Dr. Strange's "magic system" is more science than actually magic.

Indeed this is very......Hmm🤔interesting theory. However! I thought💭it was creepily weird a shadow man crawled out of Melisandre(Red Priestess’s koochi) and killed a king, now that is some kind of weird and dark magic.

This theory, and historical narrative in the Tales of Ice and fire, matches the Vedic Yuga cycles. More than likely Martin had read about the Yuga cycles which are real and is the reason we are in the age of duality…called Dwapara Yuga.
There was a golden Age of Enlightenment, long lifespans, peace and perfect harmony in the 1st age of Satya Yuga, which descended into a less enlightened age of treta Yuga, and then into Dwapara Yuga and hit rock bottom in Kali Yuga.
We have left the most horrible Kali Yuga and are have been ascending in duality in Dwapara Yuga, and will enter treta Yuga, and then back where it all began in satya Yuga the golden age.
According to Sri Yukteswar guru of Paramahansa Yogananda, the complete Yuga cycle lasts 24,000 years and there is a major reset of earth after each age within the Yuga cycle. Even in the most devolved age of Kali Yuga there are divine benefactors that give humanity the teachings of enlightenment, in the treta and satya Yuga there are more enlightened individuals than in Dwapara Yuga and Kali Yuga. Good news is we are ascending so we have much goodness to be grateful for and to look forwards to.

I once heard "magic" described as, "science we don't understand yet". From what I can gather, Old Valyria was an advanced society, playing with genetics, mutations, DNA splicing... highly advanced scientific knowledge that appears as "magic" to those whom hear stories about how advanced the society was before the Doom.
I think it's George's in-world "Babylon". A society that lost it's morality in pursuit of even greater power, despite being above and beyond all other tribal groups and ancient cities. I think the Doom was directly caused by the blood mages and the pyromancers that tended the 14 flames, when they tried to pull even more power from the fires, I think they had a near-atomic explosive event, which would account for Valyria's current state of being a smoking ruin overrun by stone men. Whether the stone men were part of the "Ghiscari Curse" or a result of their experimentation, they were certainly a part of the Doom, an ugly remnant from an ugly society with no grace and compassion to match their physical power and beauty; until they lost control, and their fate was sealed.
    Nothing new under the sun.
