Smash Into Pieces kallar sig i kortform för Smash. Bandet bildades 2008, fick skivkontrakt 2013 och slog igenom brett 2017 med sitt tredje album Rise and Shine, där The Apocalypse DJ infördes. Det var till detta album som man etablerade sin nuvarande musikstil. Smash Into Pieces kallar sin ljudbild för SmashSound, där man blandar rock, electro och pop och benämner resultatet electrorock.

Damn why is Swedish music industry soo good? Like every year. Most countries would kill to have a song like this yet in Sweden it is not even in top 2 favourites
Because every song they make is based on earlier eurovision songs. This is literally dark side by blind channel in the buildup and the verses. Exactly the same, but ofc a very good song

Glad that era is here again. Tattoo and Air have 00s in their sound. Although of course it is in completely different ways, in all three songs.

I would be very happy if this will get selected as a Swedish Eurovision entry. This is well written and amazingly performed rock song. It sounds better than the studio version and I completely love the energy on display here and the song itself. Amazing.

@@Xxxypher Exactly. 👍I actually voted for 🇫🇮 Käärijä, although Portion Boys' song was my favourite. My point is that at least Smash Into Pieces, Nordman and Maria Sur have given songs worth watching and listening to, unlike the two front-runners 🇸🇪🇲🇦🇳🇴. I feel that Sweden would actually make Finland a huge favour if either of those two "unnamed" entries was chosen as their representative. It reminds me of 2006, when my all-time Mello favourite The Poodles didn't win that year's Melodifestivalen, but Carola Häggkvist did; and the rest is history: 🇫🇮 Lordi won ESC 2006. I only noticed two days ago that Lord of the Lost was competing in the 🇩🇪 Unser Lied für Liverpool. I've also liked Megara's 🇪🇦 Benidorm Fest entry, and was massively disappointed when they didn't win.

I love it! I would say this sound is very Scandinavian/Nordic rock, most often from Norway or Finland. So happy to see Sweden finally giving rock a chance instead of all these boyband type songs.
Saw them twice in America 2022 and talk to them in Las Vegas, great dudes with a huge catalog of outstanding rock songs 💪 they never stop!

Chris has an amazing range
Chris(the singer) does have a voice of angel. His voice has improved over the years as well. Big difference in tone between the Stronger and Disconnect Albums.

It made me instand crying 🥺❤️ I am so fucking thankful for discovering this band a few years ago. Also saw this amazing guys live, two times already. I love how they improve a lot from song to song. Chris's voice is so beautiful, but when it comes to an live performance, it's a big upgrade, when you compare it with an studio version. For those people, they haven't seen this guy's, I can tell you, you have to do that. It's more than worth it 🤘❤️

Edit: För de som undrar så påstår jag inte att detta är metal. Jag säger bara att det vore kul om vi skickade något hårdare än våra vanliga popdängor för en gångs skull. Speciellt med tanke på att vi i Sverige har en så pass riklig mängd av bra metal musik som produceras i vårt avlånga land. Så, om vi nån gång skickar något som kan representera den musiken (även om det inte är något som skulle kunna räknas som faktisk metal) så skulle det i alla fall glädja mig, personligen.
Och, som en liten sidenote, jag känner också Linkin Park vibbar när jag lyssnar på denna låt och jag älskar det 💕

I had no faith in the Swedish public actually sending this directly to the final. Glad I was proved wrong. In a mediocre Melfest edition, I think this is easily the best song. Even better than Loreen who coasts on name recognition.

After LinkinPark I never loved a band as much as I do love you. This is pure art as always. Not everyone has got the ears and feelings for this music but that’s what makes us special. In ESC everything is commercial now but please do more music and never stop ♥️

Been following this band since Rise and Shine and I was surprised they decided to do Melodifestivalen and was worried they would flop since Sweden doesn't have a reputation for rewarding something that ain't generic pop in Melodifestivalen, even the bookies had them very low. dayum, great song... It's a shame they are in a competition against Loreen, otherwise they would have a solid chance of winning. Hope they don't get discouraged and decide to participate again.

Den här var bra. Jag fick 00's nostalgi över denna, lät lite som Nickelback och Daughtry. Det här var den bästa låten för ikväll. Hade vart häftigt om denna rocklåten heller Teenesee tears countrylåt hade vunnit Melodifestivalen 2023. Då hade vi skickat en annorlunda låt och inte samma låtar som vi har skickat dem senaste åren.
