    The reason this style YiQuan not so famous, is because just few people can manage it. It's like the top top things in the world, not everyone can be there. That was the most most high tech of the Chinese ancient martial arts. The power of explosion, the speed of body, the control of force, everything is just art. only when you try it, confront it, you will realize how incredible it is. But, the real power maybe berried along with the first generation of the master. What you can is the shadow.

    yiquan fighters would take over boxing if they chose to do so. just a thought , those purses would allow yiquan to expand even more! thx for sharing with me.

    many people below estimate the power of yiquan. Yiquan is very practical and powerful, but just seeing it may not able to understand that. This is a funny martial art to experient

    Hello. I want you to ask why are you judge this martial art depending on video, that is showing only a little piece of training methods, and only a piece of sparring methods. There are softer, lighter forms of sparrings and full, aggresive with strong punches with all hitting surfaces. You are training for 38 years, don't you now that slow movement can be better than faster in a learning process? Better for undersanding how to use some method in changing situations, for developing hunyuan li.

    @combatives I don't understand one thing, guy in red looks like he doesn't use any style at all. His hands are in some kind of boxing position but he delivers slaps. From what i can see he also uses his whole body to reject opponents attacks. Is there in practice any style of marshal arts that is similar to the one that i described, also with use of explosivness of body. Thank you very much, i appreciate what you posted here.

      NemanjaFable yes, this one. Yiquan is a conceptual abstraction of Xingyiquan, which is very explosive. There are various levels of yiquan and different drills that serve different purposes. This is just one. I can't comment on the individuals in the video themselves but yiquan practitioners do eventually work their way up to live sparring and amateur fighting often in boxing or kickboxing. The hand position comes from the zhan zhuang standing meditation practice of the art that is considered the foundation of it.

      Typical non knower. If you research the Yaos you would know that they proved their fighting skills in lei tai boxing.
      This is a soft example of applying forces and how to train them. In that video, Master Yao is in his mid 60s, what you expect? Movement like a 30 year old? He already did that... About you? I am not sure....

      @@franciscozarppa7747 there is 10 years of TaiJi and 10 years of TaiJi. Seems you practicing without progress. Otherwise how can there be such unqualified comment. Talking without facts some could say. But it's OK. No one feels offended. It amuses me, so i had to write some words. Just keep doing yours and be in peace. 10 years of TaiJi should have taught you this already...

    @NemanjaFable
    Martial Arts, as a totality, have many universal aspects. there is no "one system" that can make claims of singular characteristics in a monopolistic ideology. I am saying that what we see here is not good Martial Arts at all, it is psuedo-combat and is in no way a real Martial Art. Apply your own ability to Reason and don't swallow most of the stuff out there, this is a bad place to start. I suggest reading up on Wikipedia, studying films, books, and be self informed.
