Havildar Hangpan Dada was born in village Borduria, near Khonsa in district Tirap of Arunachal Pradesh. Hav Dada firstly joined the special para forces of Indian Army and then joined prestigious Rashtriya Rifles. He was always known as a soft spoken, God fearing gentleman with resolute will, daring courage and sharp soldierly skills to his friends. Driven by his deep calling for adventure and challenging operational life, he volunteered to serve in Rashtriya Rifles. While deployed in High Altitude Area on a Sabu post at India-Pakistan Border, he while in a hand to hand combat with total disregard to personal safety, singlehandedly eliminated three terrorists and laid down his life in the highest traditions of Indian Army. For his conspicuous act of bravery and raw courage, he was awarded with ASHOK CHAKRA (POSTHUMOUS). "The Brave Indian Army Soldier" is a movie dedicated to "National Hero in Life and Death" - Havildar Hangpan Dada Ashok Chakra of (35 Rashtriya Rifles) Assam Regiment.
