Frazier hurts every time he thinks of Ali. His hostility still rages within. It's a consuming, ugly bitterness he has carried for decades, the result of the hurtful things Ali has said. He insulted his intelligence, his character and his lack of black pride. Ali called Frazier ugly and ignorant and, most disturbingly, an Uncle Tom. Frazier, the son of South Carolina sharecroppers, was deeply wounded by Ali's ridicule which was accepted as socio-political fact and isolated Frazier from the black community.
Ali somehow succeeded in making a fight between two African - American men a matter of black and white. Throughout the black community, he was an object of derision and scorn because of the way Ali treated him, it was cruel. The hatred grew intensely within Frazier. He was unable to compete with Ali's eloquence, but he had a left hook that could do the talking for him. Frazier, with loating in his heart and thunder in his Everlast gloves, punished Ali for the things he said.
Notice after Ali vs Frazier 1 fight announcers said Frazier was feeling sic in his corner and he just wanted to go back to dressing room. That's because Joe couldn't slow his heart and nervous system back down to a resting state. Joe already had history of high blood pressure and diabetes, he spent nearly two weeks in the hospital for exhaustion, blood pressure, diabetes and kidney problems..
BUT BUT when he was in his 40s Joe was out dancing and singing in the clubs while Ali couldn't talk and his tremors were getting worse. Younger folks haven't a clue what Ali actually did to Joe, let me explain by saying it's exactly like today's Hollywood liberal cancel culture. Frazier hated that Louisville Lip and before fight he got on his knees and prayed to God that he could make Ali perish.
Personally i have to admit, everytime Frazier smacked Ali i cheered, WE ALL CHEERED 👋👋👋👋👋👋 MILLIONS CHEERED.

When a simple man is put on tv most of his lifetime and praised by most everybody you should ask yourself, what is the purpose behind this demigod? Some folks need a leader to worship so the liberal deep state elites gives it to them through media outlets which controls through psychological deception and manipulation. The social engineering around Ali was incredible and today's blm millennial me too cancel culture will eventually demand a National Holiday for him. The media hype built him up so audience viewers became entranced hypnotized and mesmerized from the entertainment and viewed his fights as iconic historic events even when he was losing and being rocked senseless.
Ali was chosen by the system and turned into a left wing political pawn, that's why he has an $85 million dollar museum in Louisville KY. Where is Louis Marciano Frazier and Holmes museums?? At least Joe Louis was buried in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors unlike Clay who dodged. Elijah Mahomud convinced Clay to dodge cause he was their meal ticket, so Clay faked being Minister so he could dodge Nam while preaching cancel culture towards the white man who he called "Devel's."
Jackie Robinson said, "Ali's stand was hurting his race who were, unlike him, fighting in Vietnam. The tragedy to me is, Cassius has made millions of dollars off the American public, and now he's not willing to show his appreciation to a country that's giving him, in my view, a fantastic opportunity."
At that time being drafted was the Law!!! When he refused induction someone had to take his place, how would you like it if that someone was You? I served in Nam shoulder to shoulder with black men who were the real heroes of America, not that privileged bigoted racist. The lottery chose me right outta highschool and my parents didn't have money to send me to Canada or bribe a doctor for medical excuse. Dad told me, "son, it's the's law, go fight hard, and represent your country well." So i fought hard, and represented my flag proudly. What would you have done? Donald J. T. avoided Nam and the world hates him, Cassius Clay resists and becomes a famous civil rights activist and legendary antiwar hero. Today BLM is painted on every basketball court and I'm supposed too become less white and reprogrammed, something is twisted.
Ali's legend is far greater than the actual reality of his career like getting rocked by 185 lb fighters and outscoring flat footed sluggers. I stepped through those ropes 24 times and it's not that difficult after first several fights. What's difficult is working a common job 10 hours a day for 50 years to pay mortgage and put food on the table for your children.

And there was a time after the fight in Manila where Ali realized what he had done and was brought to tears. There’s is no one alive that looks down on Joe Frazier. But Joe held hate deep in his heart for 4 decades, hate that he should have let go long before he did. Hate that made him sicker than he should have been. Larry Holmes had confided in a friend that he used to receive beatings from Ali in sparring sessions as a young fighter, thus the venom he unleashed on Ali was a kind of revenge iIn this video, Ali is only practicing how to evade punches. .Note that at the time the two fought in 1980, Larry was in his prime while Ali had declined due to age and Parkinson's disease. He had lost his reflexes, speed, timing, stamina and fitness. Even then inspite of the fact that the fight was lopsided due to obvious reasons, he held his own and never went to the canvas. He only quit because his corner persuaded him to.Ali was simply not a candidate for a knockout .Imagine a fully fit Ali in his prime in a match up with Harry Holmes .He was more agile, faster, more intelligent and more skilful. Have in mind that Michael Spinks possessing just half of the abilities of Ali was able to expose Holmes so badly. The best Larry could have done would be to lose on points otherwise he would have gone the way of Sonny Liston or Foreman!

@@jeffriessman9693 you should read Muhammad Ali's book by Thomas Hauser. Holmes proclaimed once in an interview that Ali was the champ but I'm the better fighter. The next sparring session they had, Ali's team (bundini) informed him wat Holmes said and Ali beat the shit out of him for 3 rounds straight. He had Holmes cowering in a corner begging him to stop. Training against a really good fighter is the way to stay on top of things. No one Ali fought in the ring had Holmes' jab (until he fought Holmes after he had slowed). Had both been at their prime when they faced off, it would have been amazing. Slo-mo of Ali's precision with punches landed from so many angles when dispatching opponents probably gives him the nod, and he could take a punch better than most people think. Both great fighters, and because Holmes was the next great champ, was never going to get the same respect.

@@seniordavidmanderson9232 ali gave big foreman a big scientific wooping okay. Head shots? I bet you could not count more than five slipped or accidental shots by foreman. Ali only took body shots and made a football over foremans eye and was ahead on scorecards despite the ko. Ali took the least amount of shots to the head than any hw and 95 percent of the shots you are counting are after 1977, when he started having parkinsons. And he only got hit the most was from sparring. And donot forget the effect the four year layoff had on his career. Almost took him two years to get rid of that rust and lack of stamina. If you keep this and parkinsons (post77) then ali only lost ones against norton. Every boxer is bleeding or cut after 15 rounds. Only ali always came out unmarked in every single fight. And the competition he was facing legend after legend compared to vitalis bums. Vitali was great but not as great as ali. Lennox did not have a competition even near as ali and he did get knocked out and ali was never knocked out. Impossible not get knocked out agaist such a sever competition shows you the skill set of ali. He had the fastest jab and the most scientific cross with the fastest moving feet, hands and head before his reflexes slowed due to parkinsons. Lennox is gonna go 15 rounds with ali which he has never never went through and he would be to slow for ali. For a decision win it will be based on who hits the most. Ali was the fastest moving and fastest punching heavyweight. His headmovement was from another world. He would dance and use his lightning jab and his scientific crosses in the first rounds and start lacing louis in the late rounds after 12 when louis is exshausted and win. Louus was was a good boxer but too slow for ali. He might get a few shots in though but he aint knockin ali out and a few shots means nothing as ali every opponent says ali was the fastest to recouperate after being hit. He had a iron chin. Almost every boxing expert and boxers including lennox louis says that ali was the best heavyweight of all time. You think the experts and coaches who spent their life studying and training boxing and boxers who have been in their themselves all are wrong and you are right. Ali would win just as he did against liston. Liston could not touch him throughout the fight. He also had the biggest fists and the longest reach and a good jab like lennox but that did not matter. Liston had the longest reach in boxing and the largest fists but he could touch ali either. Being outpointed lennox will try to get a power blow through. He might even get one but that does not matter as ali cannot be knocked out because of his granite chin. Ofcourse he would. he had got up from the canvas at the count of one. The fight was finished in the first ten seconds of the fifth. Ten seconds. Thats all it took. Without the salts it might have been 60 seconds. Coopers eyes, face, chest, body was covered in blood even before the fifth whereas ali was unmarked throughout the fight. Fight should have been stopped a round earlier
Ali won over norton two times. What are you talking about? The second time norton landed his first shot in the fifth round. Haha. The third time ali won 9 rounds on all cards. No body saw it closer than the referee and 30 years later when asked after watching the films his still gave it unanimously for ali. After a few years norton himself admitted that he won only the first.
Sunny liston may have thrown the second fight but got his ass woopped like yours the first fight. He could not touch ali. Even when he became desperate and sterted to cheat and blinded ali for a round. He could not even knockout a blinded ali and you talk about lewis reach. Look at listons face after the first fight like a tomato because of both cut eyes and meanwhile ali was boasting to the press.
Man clinches headbuts rabbit punching happens in boxing. Second frazier fight was a massacre of joe frazier. Ali showed him his speed of hands and feet. Every time joe hooked he only hit air. The referee stopped the round when joe was in the corner shook up about to be knock down. Post fight interview, battered joe admitted that he lost and had no excuses and would like to come back better next time. He is a better person than you. Frazier did not even win more than 3 rounds on any card. Haha. Excuses.
Jimmy young almost dropped out of the ring 5 times in that fight. He saved himself from alis combination by exiting from the ring. That is a knockdown according to any boxing book. 5 knockdowns because of fear and you think he won.
Look at the films of the rumble in the jungle. All judges had ali winning 4 out of the first five rounds. And foreman could not his more than three rounds through out the fight. Even despite the knockout. Ali beat him so bad because foreman was not a smart boxer like ali and ali won more rounds and knocked him crashing to the ground. Foreman never looked good enough to beat ali in that fight. Stop making excusses and admire alis bravery and speed like foreman does because he knows what ali did that night was despite being 8 years older, the most heroic thing ever to do in sports.
Before the shavers fight alis docter freddie pecheco told him clearly that he would die if he continue boxing but he was payed for his silence. This was made public in later years ali still beat that monster shavers shows that he is the goat fighting despite parkinsons.
lennox competition is nowhere near ali. Are you comparing bowe holyfield and klitchko to ali competition. Ali faced and won over sunny liston, smokin joe frazier, george foreman, ken norton, floyd patterson, jimmy young, ron lyle, earnie shavers and chuvalo who was not even knocked off his feet once.

I think Holmes deep down was a safety first fighter. That perhaps indicates someone who is not supremely confident of his ability. I feel he didnt like to take too many risks

I think Ali didn't show all his talent while training with partners and could have beaten Larry Holmes in 1975 or 1974, even though he was slowed down by the penalty.

Might have beaten Ali when he was a shell of his old self but this version of the greatest makes you look like a clown. Always be the greatest.

Ali meet Fraizer, Forman and Norton after his prime. Ali was not at his best in the 70`s. He had lost some of his foot and handspeed from the 60`s. Same with the Holmes sparring. Ali beat great fighters like Fraizer, Norton, Forman, Shavers, Ron Lyle and othes in the secound part of his career.
Ali had two careers. Prime Ali from 64-67. Then they took his boxing license for over 3 years. He lost his best years but came back and had a secound career were he had to show the mental toughness he had and a chin like concrete because he got hit more because his speed was not the same anymore.
Ali buildt his leagacy in the 70`s because in the 60`s he was to good for everyone. He even made Sonny Liston look like a robot.

I love Ali, but let's be honest, everyone makes way too much of his "prime years", because the fact of the matter is, he mainly fought tomato cans in the 1960's, and not much changed by not fighting for 3 years after the Zora Folley fight. He was still training, sparring, and keeping in shape, and who exactly was he supposed to have fought from 1967-1970 anyway? Thad Spencer? Johnny Persol? Manuel Ramos? Leotis Martin? So he would have had 3 or 4 more one sided fights against journeymen contenders, hardly anything that would have made much of a difference. The only thing he possibly could have benefitted from was meeting Frazier in '69 or '70 with a touch more speed, instead of '71, and even that's stretching it. Besides, top level boxing is designed to make big money fights, and if there is nobody really good or marketable to fight when you're in your 3-4 "prime years" window, then what good is it fighting in your prime years? Look at Larry Holmes, when he arguably hit his prime in 1980, most of the great talent in the Heavyweight division had gotten old or retired, and there wasn't much left. Larry beat up a bunch of tomato cans in his prime years (wasn't his fault, just wasn't anybody top notch around), and it wasn't until Gerry Cooney that he got a big payday. Look at Marvin Hagler, his prime years he was so much better than all the other Middleweights, that he started defending his title a second time against guys he had already beat handily (Hamsho, Obelmejias). It wasn't until Hagler was past his prime and near the end that big name fighters from lower classes came up to fight him (Hearns, Duran, Leonard) and he finally got a taste of the big money before hanging up the gloves.

@@jackprecip5389 Cool, but nearly everyone from that era has said that pre exile ali was much better and faster than post exile ali. Ali's boxing style was built on his speed and jabs, his speed loss royally fucked him up.

@@SouthpawsRule217 Nobody's disputing Ali was a bit faster and quicker in the 60's compared to the 70's (that's simple aging), but people go overboard as if 1960's Ali was Superman and 1970's Ali had been exposed to Kryptonite during his exile. 1960's Ali still got hit sometimes, watch the Doug Jones fight or the first Henry Cooper fight. My point was that the 1960's talent pool in the Heavyweight division was incredibly thin and void of top rate fighters, and that the 3 years off didn't really rob of us of any great fights, and that Ali would have gotten a bit slower with age anyway, regardless if he had beaten up a few more bums in the late 60's or not. Even Liston is completely overrated as an opponent. Liston KO'd Patterson twice in the 1rst round, but Patterson was a SMALL Heavyweight that couldn't take his punches (ala Norton vs. big punchers). Look at Liston's career, who did he really beat besides cans? Cleveland Williams? Zora Folley? "Honeyboy" Howard King? He couldn't even stop Eddie Machen (who was a big man).
