I can also imagine the reason double-faced cards can’t be in preconstructed decks is due to it being “playable out of the box.” So a 12 year-old may not have sleeves.
Gavin has previously stated that is the main reason they don't do it. Including checklist cards means less tokens, and an added layer of complexity for new players.

The extra life craterhoof is so good. I love both of the arts for it. I love the extra life lairs in general. If there's any lairs that are worth it, it's those. You get at least something that's worth it, and help out with an actual good cause, it's a win win. I got 2 of the first extra life drop and 3 of the 2nd one. I traded one of the second drop for a non foil commander collection black and still have 4 craterhoof.
I thought they couldn't include MDFC in precons because then you couldn't play it straight out of the box because card protectors become essentially required.
ever thought about the idea that at some point cards like treachery will be digital only because there will never be new copies and reserve list cards that aren't insane prices mostly get treated like normal expensive cards from players which means they will eventually wear down over time.
For the medallions, dont just include it in every mono-G deck like the nerds said. Look at how many 1 drops / artifacts / cards without generic in their cost your'e running first and then decide whether you want it.
Thermopod is an amazing budget option, but Phyrexian and Ashnods are much better for the decks that want them. Skirk Prospector is a better card than Thermopod, for the decks that want it.
I tried to play Carnival of Souls with Endrek but the one time I got it out, I didn’t have any life gain and I died after about two turns 😢. Love Endrek though ❤
I got a Carnival of Souls for 0.5 back in 2016. I found it in a store crap box and I thought it had potential, along with Plague of Vermin. They both amazing in my friends Ayara deck.
I actually prefer the Secret Lair Extra Life Version of Craterhoof Behemoth. It’s so much fun stomping your opponents into the ground with that silly, innocent child drawing! 😂
Tip of advice for those who have a bit of money to spend, if you don't have a goldspan dragon and you want one, get it now before new capenna releases, because it WILL go right back up to being a 30-40$ card for the base version as it's not rotating out of standard yet and with all the insane treasure support and production we're getting in capenna, it will not stay below 20$ for the base version for very long. So snag it while you can if you don't wanna pay an exorbitant price for it.
I have a copy of Treachery and it is even better than they make it out to be. It can untap other players lands if the situation arises (Two-headed giant format, Strip Mine, Maze of Ith usually), it can be blinked for more value, you can use cards that bring enchantments back into play and get your mana back, you can destroy or sacrifice the Treachery and give back the creature so it can block and kill something else you want gone more at almost no tempo loss. You can sacrifice the creature at no mana loss. You can just hold onto someone's commander using it's abilities for yourself while denying it to the owner. It is just an amazing card. My favorite combo is casting Replenish into this to net +1 mana, steal a creature, and get back a bunch of enchantments.

Hi NN, I'd love for you guys to do a discussion video on 'power level'. I accept you use 1-10 system. But it still feels quite ambiguous to use those numbers. I.e. What is our/NN'syard stick to measure what a 5/10 is and what a 9/10 is? Do we/NN's include cEDH in the scale? But for measure sake I would like you to perhaps clear up the ambiguity I feel when you talk about power level, my 9/10 might be your 6/10. The mana symbol (black/white) is part of the remainder text of the ability "Extort". The remainder text doesn't count when determining the color identity of a card.
No matter how good a card if I can not justify paying over $10 at most for a single piece of cardboard. Most reserve list cards are just too expensive to even think about buying in my opinion.
I proxy or buy counterfeits of reserve list cards. I refuse to spend that kind of money on cardboard. Also, I play among friends and not tournaments or anything like that so 💁🏻♀️
@@starmanda88 I am grateful that the place I play has no issue with proxy cards. Though depending on the card and how powerful it is some players may not let others use the proxies if it makes things too unbalanced.

Hey I heard Beezy is from Buffalo. Do you guys ever go to Millenium Games in Rochester NY or do you only play at LGS’s in Buffalo? And if you do play in Buffalo, What LGS’s are worth going to?
Correct if I'm wrong, but I saw blind obedience in azorious commander decks and I thought it was just for black and/or white decks cause of the mana cost colors in extort. Can someone explain me that?
The mana symbol (black/white) is part of the remainder text of the ability "Extort". The remainder text doesn't count when determining the color identity of a card.
I used to think carnival of souls was shit but now I realize how good it is so I now have a use for my 7 copies XD
Gotta buy 100 Grave Titans speculating those prices will SPIKE soon
Lo e ly selvalas stampere when i go void winnower some all haste enabler and pathbreaker ibex.
Natural order your protean Hulk. Lulz. Natural order is one I've been needing to pick up eventually but it's not necessary for my decks either, so I'll end up getting it for probably 15-20$ later on.
Carnival of Souls has banger flavor text
Hey guys love the vids can you guys do a video about group dynamics? Me and my friend play with a group where there aren’t as experienced of deck builders and so we try to bring our deck power down to compensate but it almost always just turns into 1v1s with 2 people watching and us getting into an arms race to make better and better decks to beat eachother while people just watch us play and I just wanted to know if you guys had any suggestions
Phyrexian Purge is playable but fire covenant is much better. I would almost always play Curtains’ Call over phyrexian purge in most decks
Hey guys, i often get a bit confused when you post different videos with the same name like budget bombs or cards most worth buying. The thumbnails are not distinctive enough so i tend to just scroll past them thinking 'i have watched it already'. Maybe add a numbering system so you don't lose views? Cheers
Yesterday was my birthday actually, so thank you! ❤️
I understand the reserve list argument, but I really cannot support telling people that buying a card for 100+ $ is "worth it"... But then again, everyone can do whatever they want with their own money
