- Hello everyone, thank you for being here! Join me on a 5D4N trip to Sydney, where I spent time sightseeing and visiting places… The weather was good to us (a nice escape from the cold in Melbourne). Sydney is gorgeous!
Here’s a breakdown of our itinerary:
Day 1:
-hotel check-in
-University of Sydney
Day 2:
-Hyde park
-Anzac Museum
-Australian museum
-St Mary’s cathedral
-Manly wharf
-Sydney opera house
-Sydney harbour bridge
Day 3:
-Blue mountains (Scenic world)
Day 4:
-Taronga zoo
-Bondi beach
Day 5:
-Sydney fish market
Just a tip that you don’t need to use an Opal card if you have an Aussie debit/credit card. As all Opal conditions apply to them as well. Understand that international visitors will more likely want to use Opal to avoid currency conversion fees
That’s a great tip! Thank you
if you are an Aussie senior card holder get an opal card as you get discounts on your travels. Easily done online just apply early before your trip to Sydney.
listen to this polack giving orders
Hi. I have a Youtrip card from Singapore. Can I use it to take all forms of transportation (ferry, light rail, trains) in Sydney? Thank you.
Can i use any visa credit card from non Aussie bank?
I came to study and live in sydney from 2019, just one year pre-covid and this video somehow made me very nostalgic about the very first time I've been to all the locations and doing these outings with my friends.
Déjà vu~
@Alex He 😊
Blue mountains no words to describe the feeling the freshness in air
I love Sydney so much. Been on holidays for a month and I really miss it. That sparkling harbour!
It’s a wonderful place
Perfect! You didn't make this about you but this beautiful city. Well done!
Thank you!
Sydney is the best city, with alots to do and explore in Sydney. I live in Canada but i really like Sydney a lots
Yes, couldn’t agree more, defo a must-have destination in everyone’s bucket list
@ZEBRA Kacole that sounds convincing🥰 ! Are you still at Sydney or back to Canada ?
@@andersonlydia100 I’m back to Canada but I can’t wait to explore the beautiful city of Sydney one more time again very soon . It’s not a conviction but that’s to answer to those people out there who have been trying to make a quite and a city with a dirty river passing through in the middle of the city ( Melbourne) a boring city. To try making it to look as a world class city ( Sydney). Sydney is a world class city with the biggest suburbs metro network in Australia and the world. Sydney is the best and will remain at its position forever
@@zebrakacole5822I grew up in Sydney. It’s an amazingly beautiful place, not just the city, which is ok, but once you get out of that, there’s the many beaches, pubs, clubs, live bands etc, way out of the city. It also has national parks north and south and the beautiful Hawkesbury River to the North. Then there’s the mountains to the west, and beyond them is some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. I’ve travelled a lot, but the countryside out around Bathurst is some of the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen, rolling hills, blue haze from the eucalyptus oil in the air, incredible. Melbourne is a dump by comparison as you say.
@andersonlydia100 I'm back to Canada
In 2015 and 2018 I went on a 45 days holiday with my mom to Sydney and stayed at my uncle's place. This video brings back a lot of good memories thank you so much 🔥🥲
Thank you for showing the ANZAC memorial in Hyde Park. It's probably one of our most moving war memorials and an Art Deco gem that few you tubers show when they post about Sydney.👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Totally agree. I believe it is designed that at 11.00am on 11 November the sun lights up the central figure. Unfortunately this no longer works for 11.00am because of daylight saving, but if you go there at 12.000am on 11 November if it is sunny then the statue should be bathed in sunlight.
Good to see someone going to Manly on the Manly Ferry. Most people seem to go to Bondi which is fine, but Manly is also great. And from Manly you can catch a bus to the Northern Beaches right up to Palm Beach and its Lighthouse. I spent my first twelve months living in Manly before my parent's first house was built in North Manly. Hope you enjoyed your time in Sydney. Mike in Oz
Thanks for sharing, Sydney’s beautiful
Manly and the northern beaches are much more attractive than Bondi/Coogee - and you get the ferry ride as well.
@@doubledee9675 Thanks for the reply. I am really glad that you went to Manly. It is a great hidden gem. M
@@myke49 Well, hidden from overseas tourists. We've lived in Sydney all our lives.
Such a lovely vlog & sights of Sydney. I live in Sydney & you captured beautiful sights. Well done💝
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you for visiting my lovely city and producing such a beautiful video! I've been to Melbourne and enjoyed my visit there too.
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it
Been to Melbourne too last month to explore the city and watch Australian Open
Thanks for coming! You did a great summary of what to do. My favourite thing is how lively places like town hall and darling harbour are in the night.
Glad you liked it!
This was probably the best personal travel vlog I’ve ever seen! Very well done! We’re headed to Sydney from U S in October, learned a lot about Blue Mountains. (We may skip the railway, though.) Thanks!
Why would you skip the railway for? Don't waste money on a car. Get on a train.
I was referring to the near-death, soul-stealing World’s Steepest Railway attraction that was featured in the segment on the Blue Mountains - not on how to just get there.
Thank you for such kind words 😊
It's not that scary at all. It is quite a short ride. It is just very very steep that's all
@@paulbriere4872 That's nothing. They've H&Sed the life out of it. When I did it as a child it was a completely open cage and you hung on for grim life. Originally visitors did it sitting in the miner's coal trucks.
You do want to take the train to the Blue Mountains, it's not just scenic it is faster, cheaper, extremely comfortable and not subject to hours long traffic jams.
Sydney s love can never forget ferry trip to manly ❤
I was born and raised in Sydney and I can say I’m still exploring. It constantly changes maybe more than any city in the world, and I’ve traveled a lot. Central Sydney is very much just the Central Business District and tourist area. It’s not very representative of the entire city. Firstly there’s cultural differences even between the Anglos (white peoples). In the south in the Shire, in the North is the Northern Beaches, both fanatically loyal to their clans. Beach pubs, clubs, live band venues etc. once you get out to the suburbs there’s places like Newton which is just all pubs, bars, restaurants and gays and lesbians.
Leichardt is the Italian area. Every kind of Italian food you’d ever want. Many other suburbs have great restaurants, pubs and clubs. Food from anywhere you can think of, from Spain to Nepal, Bangladesh to the Czech Republic. You never know where these places will be. Once you get to Parramatta it’s full on multicultural. Think of any country and they’re there, with food and culture.
Sydney is a vastly complex city, and there’s many hidden gems once you leave the inner city.
My beautiful city...I need to see it more often...😎
Ofc you should!
I feel very proud that I'm living in Sydney.. it is so beautiful, city! I love it, and I wish I could be an important person and do something to Sydney and its society.
I will be visiting sydney! Cant wait to visit your beautiful country!
@Noniv12 Really ? Congrats! Wish you'll have a good time.
This is actually Queenscliff Beach FYI. To the yellow building you see then it is Manly ;) @6:47
Thanks for the correction
Love the video! Sydney is amazing tooooo
Thank you for an outstanding video!
It brought back many fond memories when my family was in Sydney for New Year's Eve 2007.
Mike
You’re welcome, glad to hear that 😊
Great video, such beautiful views!! Thanks for sharing, I am planning a trip to Sydney in the next months and it really helps. Greetings!!
Glad you liked it!
You've spent your trips so well!
Thank you!
Just remember to watch out for drop bears when walking around in parks, great video mate 🍻👍👏
Thanks for the tip!
@@lalapeach7391 no worries 👌
@@lalapeach7391 He was teasing you. Look up ‘drop bears’😉
Wow your video is very beautiful and useful. I plan to visit Sydney this year and will definitely use your destination as reference. Thank you so much
Glad it was helpful!
You did miss a few must do's: Cow and Moon Gelato in Enmore, the Grounds of Alexandria, Leura next to Katoomba in Blue Mountains, all the other ferries, all the other harbours and bays, Wendy's Secret Garden, Balmain, Luna Park, Mosman and all the cultural attractions.
But good job overall. Personally at the moment I think Melbourne generally wins on food and coffee. Sydney wins on sights and beaches.
Nice recommendations
yep, just one cannot do it on one trip. Take it easy and really enjoy places you choose, otherwise it is just a rushed job.
Many of those are completely inaccessible unless you rent a car (or go on a very slow bus). I feel most of the main stuff was covered.
The mountains are so breathtaking❤❤❤
your vlog is amazing! thank you so much!
Good video... one day I want to visit Australia... greetings from Colombia!
Thanks for your support!
That tiramisu soufflé looks so decadent. I gotta try it!
It’s pretty decent ^^
thanks for this very relaxing video. i will be there in Sydney soon. I know where to go :))
Sterling bank card automatically converted currency to the country you visit without fees. It was good for me when I visited Australia.
If I’m traveling from the U.S., could I get one of these cards?
@@tmn8547 yes you can. :)
I was born in the blue mountains and I remember going on the zig zag railway as a kid when it was actually dangerous!
Oh I see
I went on it in the 1970s. I was quite frightened (and not pleasurably). I could feel myself slipping on the seat when coming back up. I swore I would never do it again. I may revisit that view as I think it is covered now, and I think it is a lot safer.
@@brontewcat oh it is definitely much safer!
@@mandyg943 I may go on it again.
Weird isn’t- I went on it on a school excursion ( or rather on a school trip to Sydney). I very much doubt any school these days would allow kids to go on the train as it used to be,
@@brontewcat yep it’s a totally different experience now! It actually used to be dangerous hahaha.
Very GOOD camera.... quality is astonishing!!
Thanks!
Wonderful video. I visited Sydney last month and this video would have come in very useful!
Thank you for the support!
Sydney is the best 🇦🇺
I like this kind of place, thanks.
Been there/visited all places you featured + sealife and Madamme Tussaud in 4 days last month. Very tiring but worth it.
Glad you had a pleasant vacation!
Awesome city, I am 20 miles south west of Sydney
Thank you so much!
Recomended authentic restaurant in sydney Rempahku, its one of the best serving pork/chicken sambal pecak.
Diamond Bay is stunning
cool edition
Oh how I miss Sydney 💙
"vegemite tasted pretty sus" i died laughing
Beautiful!!
Thankss
Great video, showing what you can do around Sydney in 5 days. What model of camera did you used film this all?
Thanks, I filmed using my iPhone XR
Your videos are fantastic--even more beautiful in the new year and health of course **greetings from Serbia**
Thank you so much, all the best to you too!
❤
Regarding the Vegimite. All tourist eat it wrong. Far, far less vegimite and generous amount of butter first.
I must have slapped the whole Vegemite chunk onto my bread XD
The Architecture of Town Hall is very similar to Brisbane City. Good Video.
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Great video! ❤
Great video, thanks for sharing 👍 😀
You’re welcome ^^
love it!
Thanks!
Thanks for your video! /Marie from Sweden
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed ^^
Nice vlog. Which hotel you stayed in Sydney? I’m going there next month.
Ah really love your video!❤
When exactly is this? Bcs im going to have a road trip from brisbane- sydney- Melbourne- Adelaide end of december. Iam afraid if the weather will be super hot. What do you think based on your experience?
Thanks! I went there early Dec and the weather was quite warm, but not too hot in my opinion
nice itinerary!
Thanks! 🤩
Very Helpful. We are planning to visit these attractions and more in July 2023. Will A$200 in Opal card enough for 6D including the ferry ride to Manly?🤔
Hi, I think it’s more than enough. The weekly cap for public transport in Sydney is A$50/pax. And I rmb it’s quite hard to refund the balance in your opal card. So I would suggest you to just reload a little and top up whenever necessary.
Here’s the NSW Transport link:
transportnsw.info/tickets-opal/opal/opal-benefits
Hope that helps!
Enjoyed your video. Will be visiting Sydney in a few months. Should I apply for an Opal card from the States 🇺🇲 or get one when I arrived ? Do they offer discount to seniors from other countries?
Thanks!
You can just tap your credit card instead of using an Opal card, it costs the same. Otherwise you can get one easily when you arrive. Sadly there are no discounted tickets for foreigners.
🤩🤩
Lemme know how your holidays went in the comments!😊
My Holiday was good, I got my favorite food salmon.
I’m planning on going to Sydney from 🇺🇸, can you please tell me hotel you stayed at? I’m bombarded w/too many accommodation choices. Thank you. Thanks for this video. I’m new subbie

Im from a very small country and my dream its goint to live to Sydney, I see this video and I cant be more excited! Any recomendation aside the video? or any tip? Im scared for some of the rules and little things because english is not my first lenguage and its scared me not to understand the rules or be disrespectfull or something :(
That's great! The locals are really helpful out there so feel free to ask around if you get lost. Also, Google Maps is a great tool to navigate around.
It's expensive here!

Advisable to visit in August 2nd Week or September 2nd Week?
Hi, I’m not really sure which is better, but I reckon Aug would be slightly cooler than Sep
There’s a jazz festival at manly around September, 2023 dates not released yet but I’d recommend it. Especially as Sydney weather is warmer by then
Nice editing.
