Its hard to get rid of it . I think it runs from roots and sprouts
Great! Ordering the book. Just moved to SW GA and it is pretty abundant on my property. I was told you usually have a parent tree and the all others come from that.

I've learned a lot from this video...Now I know how to use the plant other than the roots. I love me some sassafras tea and drink it to thin the blood some.
It has a lot more history than i read . Its a good tree to have around. Thanks for watching

You're saying it correctly its pretty concerned, but dorsnt necessarily mean anything if you had enough its more likely to give you cns burnout at that
Almost all parts of the tree can be used medicinally for skin inflammations, wound healing headaches, menstrual pain kidney problems fluid retention ,arthritis, dental care, lice treatment and the leaves can be dried and powdered and used as a food thickener 😊

Trying to blend in or disappear in the woods?
😂
Great information
Thank you
I've been learning about WL. I just pulled some up for space for the strawberries. The latex was coming out of the roots where it broke. Can you cook the roots with the leaf and make a tea out of it. WL is growing all over my yards. I'm drying some now for tea. Some are seeding. If Anyone is around Ozark AR I will share the WL and Tea.
I have pulled the whole plant and made tea when they were small. Once they are big i just use the leaves but the stalk has more lactucarium (white milky sap) than the leaves. It seems to work better fresh in my opinion but it does work dried
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors I seen a guy steam his and I just tried it. It works as good as cooking it I think. I'm going to pull the ones that seed this year and make a batch with the roots. I'm still experimenting with it. About 13 bucks for a sassafras tree. Going to order a couple. Tnx for the Info. Be Safe.
Nice video!
Thank you
Hi, there. I enjoyed this video. Very informative. I've also heard of that same book you read from and have been thinking about getting it. They say it grows in the eastern U.S., which is where I live now (the SE). I'm not sure if I could find any though; there is a park within walking distance for hiking where I live, but not sure if I would have any luck (I live in pine country, and so it's almost nothing but pine trees). I'm originally from Texas but have been living in NC for the past 15 years. Speaking of which, are you by any chance a North Carolinian yourself? You're accent sounds exactly like what I hear down here.
Thanks for the video. I think I'll check out more. God bless.
Elijah’s coat
Just drink a rootbeer. It has sassafrass in it.

Leaves behind a good taste- it being a leaf lol
Lol that is a good one i must admit
Can you smoke it ? Lol !
@@tomb9420 you can smoke a tire if you want
@@SpiritoftheOutdoors speaking of things to smoke. Have you ever tried to grow some tobacco ?
Time to get some sassafras seeds, plants.
I use the roots from the small saplings . They sprout from the roots running so when you have a tree they will be lots of small ones to pull and get roots from
