- This is one of those videos we were hesitant to make, solely because it leaves you wanting more, but it was so highly requested and such a COOL build that we HAD to! This little 2JZ powered Toyota Tacoma was absolutely BADASS and we REALLY wanted to see it make it through the week but unfortunately these things do happen. All drivers who entered Hot Rod Drag Week 2017 knew there was a chance they may not make it through the week, and those odds only increase with the faster the car is. Granted, the Supra made it through the True Street Stress Test last year, there are always complications with a new setup. We know this isn’t the last time we'll see it, but we hope we run into them again sooner than later!

that is literately insane that he put that 2jz in that Tacoma i seriously think the 405 street outlaws should do that setup but then the competition would be easy to beat the unsuspected street racers but that may make them easily unbeatable

Good engines for sure but they have limits. Cooling is a big issue and something about them running lean in the further cylinders. Drift guys have lots of problems like that.
What a bummer for them, but that just means more R&D and more action down the line
