I have made several of his bags using old jeans (denim). On some of them I will use a needle for sewing leather. Most times a denim needle will do, but have a leather needle ready just in case you need it. 8 layers of denim is a lot!!

I have a thing for denim bags. My first bag I bought was denim when I was a kid. There was an advertisement in a magazine or something. I studied the ad and looked at all the pockets and dreamed of what I could store inside! I ordered the bag and it was everything I thought it would be! It carried my notebooks and kid stuff for many years. I think it finally wore through but I wish I still had it. I loved that bag.
