    Coming from the area of Sweden where this insane tradition have it's strongest seat I can confirm what some people say. It doesn't taste as bad as it stinks. The taste is just repulsive, the stench is undescribable.
    Kiitos for uploading!! Greetings ruotsinen!

    Your twos commentary is still always so great. "I like all the fart smelling cheeses" "It's supposed to smell like piss" hahaha. And it would have been great if you intentionally gave your sister a prop knife that was never going to cut that tomato. The defusal around 7 mins was phenomenal too. Glad to see you two still having fun and putting out videos

      In Finland there is a little bit similar food as haggis called _"maksalaatikko"_ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maksalaatikko liver casserole eaten with lingonberry jam as a condiment. While it's nowadays made with rice, traditionally it was made with barley groats, which are not so far from oatmeal used in haggis. It is one of the casserole dishes commonly served in Christmas dinner although nowadays it's available year around. Some other Christmas casserole dishes include turnip casserole _"lanttulaatikko"_ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanttulaatikko and sweetened potato casserole _"imelletty_ _perunalaatikko"_ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imelletty_perunalaatikko which could be compared to "neeps and tatties" served with haggis, So they probably wouldn't be any shocked about haggis.

    Surströmming actually exsist thanks to Finnish people.
    The story goes that some Swedish fishermen by accident fermented some barrels of fish and then sold it to some finnish people living on an island.
    And the next year the finns wanted to buy more of the delicious fish they bought last year.
    And that made the production of surströmming to start.

    • @dennislindqvist1265
      @dennislindqvist1265 6 дней назад

      Fermented fish is an ancient tradition, but outside of Scandinavia I only know of sauce varieties. You also eat it in Norway and Iceland, so that means it must have been around at least since Viking times.

    • @bullfidde
      @bullfidde 6 дней назад

      @dennislindqvist1265 that's true but not the same thing.
