Me too. I just floor it- sob, and play on repeat. Last straw. Lost almost everyone and everything due to my alcohol addiction. Feel so alone. I have BEGGED God to remove this trail. To heal me. I have been thru hell and back and never have I begged God to remove a challenge besides this. I actually heard this song at gas station..after leaving AA meeting. To buy 6 beers. Been going daily to this gas station for 6 years and not ONCE have they had anything but basic radio songs playing, nor was it loud. But THIS time it was blaring..and attendant was off for sec, and the words surged thru me like no song ever had before. I hope God sends u a message like this. I felt a sort of....relief that I had been heard. What r the odds? 6-7 yrs? RIGHT AFTER aa meeting? To BUY beer? Hang in there brother. Feel free to txt me if u need. Just let me know here.
My friend it does get better and u can repair the damage it's not easy but it happens if that's what u want. Even after getting sober I still wallow in the shame of my actions. Feel free to reply to me as well my friend. The alcohol won't make u feel not alone . It just numbs you with yerrible consequences.

We are The Church not a building and we need to be there together in worship together and bearing each other's burdens. We are called to pray without ceasing, so yes, that is everywhere. Yet we are called to work and worship as many members of THE BODY OF CHRIST! That takes us being joined together. And let's not forget that The Lord also told us where two or more are gathered together in my name there so shall I be. I personally love joining together in Worship and Praise to The Lord! Brother, God does hear you; He sees you; and He’s there with you. I was addicted to pornography for years, and I avoided God like the plague because I thought He hated me and He didn’t want me near Him because of what I was trapped in. But, now that I’m looking back, I realize that going to God; laying those urges at His Feet; leaving them there; and taking up His Strength by the power of the Holy Spirit within me was what broke those chains off of me. God isn’t intimidated or disgusted by our struggles - continue to be honest with your battles and don’t isolate (those demons tend to strike when we’re alone). Press into God during this time, be encouraged by His Word, and trust Him enough to do whatever He asks you to do. (I’ve found that the stuff He gets me out of are just cheap substitutions for the peace, joy, love, and rest He can give me. Once I had the real thing from God, I fought harder not to go back to where my sin led me.) Honestly, that’s my favorite thing about God - He loves us as we are, but He loves us too much to leave us like that. I can’t wait to hear your testimony once you’re on the other side of this! I’ll be praying for you!

I found this song when I needed it most. I heard this song at the gas station. Attendant was busy, and was waiting at counter with 3 tall boys. ( basically 6 beers). I had just left my Alcoholics Anonymous. The women in the group r very snooty and rude. Was feeling hopeless and depressed. I heard this song and I felt it vibe throughout my soul. I asked the gal who it was, and we began talking. I started sobbing. She had actually been in A.A. Herself. I left with a new list of various A.A. Meetings in my city..but where MOST the women weren’t judgmental and snooty. I can NOT help but feel this was GOD reaching out to me. I felt as if he were saying, “I’m here and I HEAR YOU.” I felt an intense but tender push to continue trying to get sober.

Listening as I drink a glass of wine and just smoked a bowl. Tonight it'll be whiskey. There is nothing funny about getting lost in your own mind. I wasn't a drinker before but for the past few months I have been. I try to speak but am looked at as a ghost by the one I love. Nothing left to do but get lost...
Then change your view from the one that you thought that loves you to the One that DOES love you!

I'm not trying to be all up in your business and try to shove religion down your throat, but God DOES love you and he DID answer your prayers. He blessed you with your talent and gave you the power and ability to bring people together in very difficult times. You don't NEED to be part of a commercialized religion in order to have a personal relationship with God
