My nephew preordered early and got one of the first ones of the line. Has it above his 20 gallon cube. The light looks insane and grows acros like nothing else
Hey Luke, we really appreciate you making this video for us and being one of the first to use this light. We just want to clarify a few things. Since you were one of the very first people to test the product, some of the information we gave you has changed. We do plan to release an 800-watt power supply. However, right now, we can only produce a 600-watt power supply. So for daisy chaining, customers will be limited to connecting up to 600 watts of lights. We hope to release the 800-watt version in the future, but it’s proving to be more challenging than we initially thought. Regarding the case, we aimed for an IP65 rating and did get IP65 fans, but we were only able to achieve an IP61 rating for the case. Achieving IP65 would have required sealing everything with glue and gaskets, making it nearly impossible to swap the optics, upgrade to a custom LED layout, or make any kind of upgrades or repairs. We prioritized keeping the light modular, so customers can easily tinker with it themselves. Lastly, the Meridians do not come with any mounting or hanging equipment. However, we designed it so anyone upgrading from Photons can use their existing hanging gear or side legs for mounting. Thanks again for your support and for helping us get the word out!
I appreciate and applaud the thinking that was put into this lightning. Sometimes, simple is better.
