17 was always great and one of the coolest characters in anime
Kanade Lapis 17 was really underrated. He didn't get enough shine in the anime.
Kanade Lapis don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's a bad character it's just that I personally was never really that big of a fan of his but he was amazing in super. The only other time where I legitimately enjoyed a showing of 17 was when he fought piccolo. I've become a bigger fan though or more of.
Peter Parker possibly. But some shine is better than none.
He came back inexplicably stronger, grew his bomb back, and threw away an easy win. If that's what it takes for people to like a character in this show, it's a wonder people hate anything about it.

They really need to work on quality control for XV3. They quality is all over the place. Sometimes the characters are spot-on and other times they aren't. The game is all over the place. We can't even transform into blue for Goku or Vegeta. Costumes are in the game but can't be worn by the characters that use them. Makes no sense. And Jiren? He could have gotten at least one other new move. He displayed a few. That big shock-wave punch, the counter hit where his eyes glow and he pushes them back with multiple counter hits,his barrier,etc. Missed opportunities left and right. But we got Meteor Crash instead. OK
KhalidB maybe if you realize that they worked on these characters before half of these moves even came out in the show and blue vegeta and goku have their own characters like come on dude

To people who says its lame that he only has one new move, his combo chains are completely different, unlike the super version of future Trunks who has the exact same combos as Z future Trunks and Gt Trunks. At least he is a new character not just a reskin.

This is why i will stick to mods, Bandi ain’t do shit but add 2 new things, i have my park ranger 17 who has 2 ultimates, Super Electric Strike & Final Barrier Of Hope, He also has custom move sets and a better z Soul called “Time to utilize my power as android” where when he perfect blocks an enemy, he is granted 10 seconds of unlimited energy. I can’t wait for tomorrow but seriously could of done a better job with him

Nonsensical Sanic The Ki wave combo he used on Kakunsa (Although that would be hard to implement but they pulled off UI Goku's punch without the pillar too.) The barrier punch he used on Anilaza. The ki bomb he used on Jiren although I get that that's too recent of course to implement.
Rebes 5 Not sure what ki wave combo he used on Kakunsa you're talking about because he eliminated her with a single beam. And you literally just named barrier.
Nonsensical Sanic He charged two ki spheres in his hands, used one wave to propell himself towards the arena lighting, jumped back at Kakunsa and blasted her into oblivion with the second. Also on the topic of implementing moves for 17 the barrier punch is perfectly fine since it's a completely differend application for the barrier. But I get where you're coming from. It's true that 17 pretty much only has his barrier and ki blasts but on the other hand the saiyans and frieza pretty much only have ki blasts and transformations. xD

So I'm over hoping 17 would low key be Bartamaleo shouting BARRIER left and right and what I get is 17 with a different attack string THAT INCLUDES NO BARRIERS. COME ON DB Super 17 His barriers came in clutch.
The barrier could have been a counter, when punched the Barrier spins you around and throws you somewhere. A counter that is a throw would have been so cool.
He could have encased his fist in BARRIERS for an attack buff/ Or Ultimate attack.
He could have encased his allies in Barriers or better yet his enemies, followed by kicking the encased enemy into the ground.
Full Power Energy Wave also makes more sense for this character if you look at his fight between U2 Claw chick and honestly in the anime he constantly brings up the fact he has infinite energy so his Ki blast should be rush.
Sigh 17 Maybe FighterZ will get you right.

Jiren has to sit through his meditation and use all 10 bars of ki for power rush. The set up is almost unusable

Without comparing ranger 17’s fight to super Saiyan blu and jiren. To Android 17’s fight to piccolo and cell. Explain the difference in ranger 17 & Android 17 movesets and power wise? Statistics.
Like we seen. And like I said. SsB is above ss1,2&3 including god. And ranger 17 kept up? Would Android 17? Because he never trained much. Was lazy and he’ll protect the animals etc...never really got pushed or trained hard. Infinite energy vs goku with god energy? Still more energy, but not tough enough. Name the improvements.
Breakdown, step by step. Ranger 17 looked to have surpassed piccolo by quite a lot in the tournament of power. I think he would’ve beaten frost. “That would’ve been a good fight to see”. (But back on track... ) ,piccolo isn’t as good with more powerful enemy’s, him, Krillin, Yamcha and tien can’t keep up. Obviously. But we can see the improvements. Just by being lazy? He should’ve trained him up, THEN it would be possible, you can’t just bullshit it.

No. 17 sacrifices himself and gets this preset?! Are you telling me Bandai was so lazy, they couldn’t even add his Blue Energy wave, or energy shield variations? I could understand not adding the attack against Kakunsa, but the other attacks wouldn’t require much effort.

holy-knight_haru Yes. When he counters ki blast skills he puts up his barrier. Although I don't know if it's durable enough to completely negate ultimates but we'll see.

Those combos are very similar to the series
Instead of Super Saiyan Rage being an awoken skill for Future Trunks (DB Super) Dimps gave the fans Super Saiyan 2.
Instead of making the Merged Zamasu (Corrupted) playable with interesting moves Dimps gave the fans one variation.
Instead of making Jiren's moveset actually look good with all the cool stuff he did in the anime Dimps gave the fans a lackluster version.
And now we have No.17 (DB Super). A character that took the hearts of many fans out there with his performance in the Tournament of Power. You would expect them to add all sort of cool things for this guy right? Nope. Just an updated combo set and recycled move lists from his DBZ variation.

Umm the only one exciting is UI Goku. All the other characters that came seem so basic and boring to play with. They could've done so much more with this DLC. Like add Kefla,Caulifla,Kale,SSJB2 Vegeta, corrupted Zamasu's form (where he's half purple),add a skill where you can transform into SSJR,LSSJ transformation would be fun too. But they were just too lazy to do so.
