B1m sounded the best. And the thing is that B1m and B10 cost the same right now in India. And I was just confused which one to buy, going with B1m for sure now.
ECM-G1 audio was quite poor I thought, I'd not be happy with that. The B10 was much much better. The noise cancellation I'd only consider for emergencies as it's quite annoying to listen to on headphones. Probably OK on a phone for playback. The B1M was night and day better than the others. So I know now, I need the B1M.
why does the A74 have sucvh warpy vlogging footage? What setting were you using? Looks like wrap stabilizer gone wrong :/ Otherwise, thanks for the comparison, looking at the ECM-B1M
G1 appearance is really appealing, would be great for gimbal use. But after hear it, I do no think I will buy it. B10 sounds good and still smaller than B1M.
I got the G1, because its size and simplicity. Unfortunately, when it's bouncing around, there is a very loud noice, so unless the camera is still the audio is almost useless.
What about the New M1 mic? I'm trying to decide which to get for my new a6700. I mostly shoot photos but started shooting home/family videos of my 10 month old son. Use case is indoor/outdoor of mostly him between 4 and 10 feet away. Any suggestions?
Doesn't the B1m have that clinging sound issue from bouncing around. I looked at reviews and that seems to be the negative. Also did you put this in catalyst browse?
Thanks for posting this video! I have the B1M and wondered what the new B10M offered. This clears up my confusion! I’ll be sticking with my B1M for sure!
According to Sony Hong Kong technical support department when the a7c2 connects to the ecm-g1 microphone, it can only use analog input. If you use a7c2 with other higher-end microphones, you can use digital input or analog input. So when g1 connect to a7c2, there is no fully automatic audio leveling function. However, on other Sony camera models such as the a74, the camera can continue to use digital input and use the fully automatic volume leveling function. Regarding this issue, I sent three emails to Sony's technical support department in Hong Kong, China and Japan. Reflecting my dissatisfaction, why do the same microphone have different reactions in different camera models. I use the a7c2, a relatively entry-level camera, because I hope that using an entry-level microphone, I can adjust the volume completely automatically, without having to spend time manually adjusting the volume.

How about letting ups HEAR the mics. At least use them while you are talking. Oh and skip the music. This is a video about microphones. I stopped after 2 minutes.
Which of these Sony microphones do you think is the best?

will these mics work with the MI shoe on the FX6?
ECM-B1M by a longgg shot! Definitely worth its price point. This video was so helpful. Thanks!
The ECM-B10 dial is for audio level on manual mode.
B1M sounds fuller than B10. Definitely go for that.

Sheesh...why add warp stabilizer to A-roll? Looks so wobbly! But great video! I got the message:)
hello, what mic did you use to record this video? The sound is the best on that one :)
Looks like Sennheiser MKE2. I have two of those with wireless transmitters. Solid
Curious to know how the B1M compares next to the XLR system that Sony offers. What would you choose and why?
5:14 what's wrong with the A74 footage? I've never seen A74 IBIS wobble being this bad.
👍
great comparesion, I think the new B10 handle background noise better and crisper sound

Now the question is, do I keep it, do I get rid of it, or do I upgrade. Difficult decision.

Why was the video all wobbly during the outdoor test?
Because he was walking with the camera.
Thanks for the comparison! Wind noise seems louder on the B1M. Did you use the supplied deadcat in both cases?
Yes, we did use the supplied deadcats while recording the audio from each microphone.
Nice video. Too bad I haven’t been able to buy the b1m for months 😞
Fantastic video! Really helped with my decision making... Thank You so much for making it! :)
Wow that ev10 rollin shutter is unwatchable
Thanks for posting this video! I have the B1M and wondered what the new B10M offered. This clears up my confusion! I’ll be sticking with my B1M for sure!
Agreed. All of the B10/B1M comparison videos show B10 having thinner sound.
Just the video I needed. Thank you so much.

A question, can it be used on the Sony Grip !!! Using the sony Xperia Pro 1 with Vlog monitor 😊

Love the video. So I have the a7riii and the digital audio is not listed for the B10, so is the B1 a better choice then?
Both the Sony ECM-B10 and ECM-B1M are listed as fully compatible mics for the A7Riii
The ECM-G1 sounds awful. Quite disappointed since its compact size was what made it so tempting for an upgrade
Will the digital audio work with a a7sii
Hi, I like your background. How can I get that?

Is the ECM-B10 compatible with the FX30 with the extra digital and analog options?.. i dont think i saw it was mentioned
No, this BCM-B10 will not work with the FX30, the mic is only compatible with the Alpha series cameras.

Useful video for me as I am considering two of these for my A7IV for some NYC travel 4k video. Are any of these "weather sealed"?
No, non of these Sony Mics are weather sealed.
G1 is best paired with ZV-1 because B10 and B1M are not compatible with ZV-1.
I am not sure for the difference
