Well done. Nice double vortex. I don't think anyone judges you for using your hands but I do think a sturdy pair of puncture resistant gloves would make people feel better. There may be broken glass or other hazards. Stay safe. Prayers for that gentleman.
I live in the desert 🏜. We hardly get rain in west texas. Only on the monsoon season. July,August,September. I hope the people appreciate you. God bless you good job.
Hi Sweetie, no one would judge you, we’re just looking out for your safety. Thick gloves 🧤 will shoosh 🤫 (I’m Scottish) all the worriers like me!! Keep up the excellent 👌🏻 work!! I love your videos 😊
Not judging, lol, but maybe some tough thick gloves considering the garbage and needles that end up in the gutters... Be safe brother! Keep up the good work!
I’ve only seen a mess of leaves in front of my neighbour’s property. They never bag the mess up for garbage pick up and also we usually have city vehicles going around sweeping up the roads. Nice of you to work at this problem. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm surprised you throw leaves away to be disposed of. Leaves are nature's way of enriching the soil, so they are great for anyone with a garden, the worms in the soil will dispose of them.
I know it's been a year but RUclips started recommending these to me. It's very sad about the guy, but it's good you managed to make that road driveable to give the best chance with the ambulance. Now, for the content of the video, I feel sort of like that South Park episode where it's chasing the dragon - but here it's chasing the swirl. It's so interesting to see them work with the drains. Watching two merge together, it's cool. Since looking I see my Recommended are now full of these kind of videos and I really wish the cities would give you guys grants for your work. I will also end on this: Watching this made me really realize I need to take more care in the fall when leaves fall. I live up on top of a hill so I never see the aftermath, but looking at this and seeing all that debris definitely gave me a check.
I heard Michigan got a lot of snow recently, did you get much there? it looked pretty snow free where you were unblocking. I thought the snow might give you a chance to make some awesome unblocking vids like this one. Thanks for the the awesome work and videos
In the West we use straw, rolled into logs and wrapped in christmas tree netting, long enough to make a half moon to block the drain, the ends need weighted down to stay i place. It's allows water but not debris into the drain.
If you are going to used ur hands at least get some gloves as you don't know what is under the water in some areas but keep up the good work appreciate videos my man
Not judging for useing your hands bue a good pair of gloves would keep your from getting your hand cut or stuck by neddles. y ou did an outstanding job of keeping those dain open with all the leave. (someone in the public workds depts needs their arse whipped for not keeping the streats sweeped. Thanks for and outstanding video. (Mississippi Gulf Coast.)
What makes you think anybody on this site has the right to judge you for not using gloves or anything else? Nobody commenting has a right to judge you when you were out there helping out your community and if they do then they’re one sorry person. Keep up the good work, God bless you and your family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
So if you watch post 10 from like 3 yrs ago..he grinds the leaves through the grate with his feet. If you turn your rake upside down and grind itll work safer for needles if thats actually a proble.. judging by bare ha ds i guess not..but it grinds the leaves better and then the foot swooshing clears the dirt and ypur boots look heavy enough to handle it
Man don’t use your hands cleaning these drains! Sometimes there will be needles laying around and would hate for you to get poked by one, also broken glass.
I’m amazed, why don’t the home owners go out and clear the leaves when necessary, l would and have done so,get off your butt and help keep the area tidy..Linda. l
I don't mean to say this isn't heavy work, because i imagine it is, but how "easy" it is to just scoop away some leafs, i don't understand how those floods can become so big! If you walk there and you see it apear, you would just scoop those leafs a bit and it won't escalate that much! Everyone can help a bit for your community if you just care enough to step in

I was drained at this point...funny. so were the streets. Good job. Stay safe.

Agree. Don’t want you to find something you weren’t prepared for.
Sure.we need those hands safe
What you do is so simple but very helpful and effective for the community you service. Totally awesome, bro.

You should have a sign on your Van saying ....
" Volunteer ....
Making Detroit a more beautiful place...
one drain at a time"
You greeted him well and caring. Very sad finding out his outcome

All those clogs are gangsta until the rake comes out! 🤣
That was awesome!!! You completely drained that swamp!
That building tho! Wow! Looke amazing! Like some sort of castle but with appartements in it
Our thoughts and prayers for the gentleman that overdosed.
You do a great job but please get yourself some needle/ cut proof gloves as you do not know what is under the leaves. Great videos!
Look at the size of those leaves!!! Must be a Sycamore or a London Plain nearby. Nice work Sir. Thanks for caring about your community!
Love your videos! Great job👍🏼💕
Good stuff!!! Love From South Africa
Good job sir !! you are a big asset to the community.👍💪💪

Great job! Happy Thanksgiving 😁
Good job. You are awesome! 👏 👏 👏
The street department do any maintenance on the streets of Detroit? Disgusting conditions. Thanks for for your help. 😮
Nice job. Hope you found somewhere warm straight after.
Be careful no lifeguard on duty! LOL Happy Thanksgiving
Excellent work, mate. Tiring but satisfying. All the best
Great work!!
Bro... you are a blessing
Might have been a losing battle with that wind and those leaf's but at least you stuck with it 👍
I love this. It's like a low key Post10 in an urban setting.
Very nice job 👍

Good job! Take care.
Good on ya! Stay safe out there!
You should use the bigger rake for the bigger drains and the red small ones for the circle ones
Great job! Be Safe!
nice job again. stay safe.
I hope some people stop and thank you for your efforts.
If you are going to used ur hands at least get some gloves as you don't know what is under the water in some areas but keep up the good work appreciate videos my man
Great stuff
Great job.
So sad about the gentleman overdosing.
Dope & Dope
Well done

Detroit is bad but not like LA where needles end up everywhere.
Pennywise has left the chat
Maybe another type of rake would be required for this kind of job.
Great work, but if you are in an urban area, use gloves
Post 10 would be proud of you at 2:10
3:40 It sounds like a Tasmanian Devil.
You also need a garden type rake
Stay safe bro
You never know where dirty needles are hiding
Thanks for you service to the community, but please do better camera work
Is there a number or web site you can report those blocked street drains when it's not debris on top causing the problem ?
If you are in Detroit there is an app called Improve Detroit, it reports it to the city
Have a great Thanksgiving.

Please do up your jacket on those stormy days.
Just be safe
Si cada um limpar a sua frente dá casa não aí ter este problema
You need to rake leaves with a leaf rake, not a potato rake.
Rip bladee
You were drained. I see what you did there.
If everyone just chipped in a bit of effort for the drains in front of their house.
But a rake
Yet they want them to pay their taxes😮
Why not try a wider rake. It’s got to be better

put the tripod next to the hole and use both hands.
you getting me dizy.
You should ask the city if they could help out monetarily. You are doing God's work. Or at least some tools. So selfless. Thank you
Y overdosed on drugs.
