These have not flown off the sales forecourts in the UK. The benefit for me is that I bought a new one for 2/3rds the list price. Also, I've not seen another one on the road as yet, so I love the quirky rareness of this beast. Today I did a 20 mile round trip just to buy some Bacofoil. That's how addictive it is. The only minor minus is that it has a bit of an engine pitch whine and it lacks the grunt of my BMW R1200 RT, but my Niken GT gets chosen for outings more than my Beemer.
I bought one, and you're dead right ...about everything. I've been riding on and off road for 40+ years and it's a revelation. It's like a carving goldwing ...only better. Fairing sucks but I can fix that probably.
After 10 months and 10K miles it’s still the “go to” bike in the garage.
Great review buddy I’ve bought one in uk England. Thanks for the excellent insight 😆👌🏍👍🏻
bad guys in a james bond film , with machine guns mounted :)
100% I could see this thing with like ice spike tires just ripping it through some baddies arctic hideout haha
Could you ride it with a one flat front tyre just to get home
How would you compare the Niken to the Piaggio MP3 500? Which do you think is better and why?
Well hey there lol
Lol it worked. Well, I’m in Austin these days and would love to ride together. I need a local to show me the ropes.
Damn I remember seeing the concept for this, surprised it actually came out.
Surprised me too! Yamaha has done a magnificent job bringing this concept to life
haahhaha i love your reactions :D lovely bike, lovely engine.
Did you move to Texas? Great review!
I did! Well I’m only here for a few months, then back to DC!
Ah that explains it, I live on southwest side of Austin, there’s some great riding in the Hill Country.
Oh shit dude that’s awesome. I need someone to show me the ropes. I don’t have a bike out here yet, but maybe soon!
DukeOfDC email me at pistolpetemoto@gmail.com, maybe we can work out a date to ride together while you’re here, I have 2 motorcycles so good to go.
Will do man!
Did you move?
Kinda. Well only temporarily
That dealership is about 40 minutes from the house. Hit me up next time and I'll help you get some rolling footage.
Oh hell yeah! I’ll definitely hit you up!
Watched several reviews and everyone rants about it in every regard, yet I come away thinking it's going to be one of those bikes that everyone loves, yet knowbody will buy, and that's too bad.
Still haven't seen one of these in real life 😥
No wonder they are just odd I've still to see one being ridden here in Scotland
all we need now is a reviewer who will take this monstrosity through some proper corners rather than the straightest roads on the planet....
Trust me, I’m far more upset than you that I had the keys to this bike and not a twist in sight

@@steveblackthorne2973 Now that is more like it !!!
Thanks for the link, I managed to miss this video some how.
Great review, interesting suspension tech , ugly bike!
It’s an acquired taste for sure! I will say it looks better in person
