AWESOME SHOTS.....especially the last drone part "climbing Valahnukur" WELL DONE I will do the same hike ( again ) as my final point of an Solo North - South Transverse next Month. Starting in Akureyri and hopyfully finishing in Skogar middle of October. Hopfully the Northern Gods will give me some pleasant days without to much rain or snow like yours.
What a stunning andscape and a marvelous edit! I'm so glad I came across your video and even more to hike along the Laugevegur and Fimvorduhals trail in end of June.
Iceland is by far one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited. Missed this trail in our last 3 visits. We will hit this for sure this year. Beautiful shots and music.
Loved your video! I’m gearing up to hike the Laugavegur and Fimmvorduhals August 2023 and your video is very motivating! I’ll be hiking with my 7yo son and also carrying my 6 month old daughter, so it should be interesting! Keep up the fantastic videos and happy hiking 🥾
Thank you, glad you found it motivating! Wow, hiking this trail with kids sounds quite ambitious with the weather changes and river crossings.. Stay safe!
@@ElielHerleviPhotography Safety is always #1. My son who is 7 is a very adventurous soul and is up for the challenge. I’ll be the human bus at the river crossings as well. Adventures are where growth happens 🙌🏼 Happy Hiking 🥾
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! I was planning to extend and do that trail too but there was a storm coming so we decided to play it safe. But next time for sure. Thanks for the recommendation!
Thanks! I used Lumix S5 for the most part, but many of the shots here were done with iPhone 12. It's absolutely fine most of the time 🙂 Enjoy your trip!!
We did the trail at the very end of August. The summer is very short in the Landmannalaugar area of the Highlands, so September might be too late. I think the highland bus only runs until mid-September or so because the weather gets worse pretty quickly after that. Make sure to plan properly, the area will be dangerous in bad weather!
I will visit this place with my family in July, we have all day to spend it at this place. Is it possible to hije without guide. Where can we have info for the best scenery trails ( round hike startibg and ending same point) . Thank you.
You definitely can go to Landmannalaugar, which is the starting point of this trail that you can see in the beginning of the video from 00:50 to 03:00. Check out Reykjavik Excursions to get a bus pass there. Lots of people hike there for a day, no guide needed. Another alternative is the Volcano Huts at the other end of the trail, which you can see in the last few minutes of the film. Hope this helps, good luck and thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
That's a very broad question but I can say that to get to the trailhead from Reykjavik you'll probably need a highland bus pass which costs about £100 for a return ticket, and pitching a tent on a campsite on this trail typically costs £15 a night per person. Huts are more. So yeah, Iceland is expensive.
This is insanely beautiful, what a stunning work my friend. Shots are mind blowing here. 🔥🔥 Respect for this work!!!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻
Ooooooo, what a beautiful rainbow 🌈!
Scotland always delivers! 🌈 edit: woops! Meant Iceland of course. Have seen too many rainbows on my Scotland hikes so got them mixed up 🤪
Another great work. Great job.
Thanks for watching!
