Freepik Rejected My Images - What to Do

  • Hello! In this video I'm talking about Freepik's reason for rejection and some things you can do to get your files accepted.
    ✋This video isn't sponsored by Freepik.
    💡 If you have questions or suggestions, let me know in the comments!
    🤔 Some people have asked me if Feepik is worth it. I think that's something that each individual can figure out for themselves. Maybe for someone it's worth it, for someone else it's not. I'm using Freepik as an experiment to test if it works for me, and in this channel I'm sharing my personal experience. ⭐ My goal is not to encourage you to use Freepik or any other stock site: what I want is to share the information that I would have liked to have when I first started, so that you have some extra data and can make your own decisions.
    For example, in this video I share how much I made in my first 4 months: • How Much Money I Made ...
    💵At the moment, I've been on Freepik for 1 year and 1 month, and my total earnings are 32.97€. I don't upload consistently or follow search trends. As a comparison experiment, I uploaded the same images to Adobe Stock. So far it's been 1 month and my total earnings are 0€.

      @cristinasala  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@amazinglife9189 sorry to hear that your photos were rejected! Sometimes the "quality standards" reason is vague and it's difficult to understand exactly why they're giving that reason. If this is your first time, you have *only 2 tries* to submit your first batch of photos. After that, you'll have to wait for one month to try again. I don't know if there's a limit to how many tries you can do if you're already an approved contributor. I recommend having a good critical look at your images before you try again, maybe getting someone impartial to give you honest, constructive feedback. Don't try to submit your images again as they are, because they might be rejected again. Sometimes when I create images I see them as excellent in my eyes, but what matters in this case is that _Freepik_ thinks they're excellent for their own specific purposes (mainly getting users to buy their Premium subscription).

    Hi Cristina Sala. Thank you very much for the useful information and knowledge you have shared. I have also been a Freepik contributor for 3 months. It's good to have orders bought, but it seems that the commission is getting lower and lower, the most recent I received was 0.02€ for a download. This really frustrates me and I don't know if anyone else has the same problem as me. And one more thing, the review time for a new file is also very long, almost a month to review once. I think this will also miss out on potential downloads during that waiting period. I don't know if there is a way to fix this. This is all I got after a short time working with freepik. It's a pleasure to share it with you. Hope you don't mind this. Sorry my english is not good.

      hi, I'm also new to the freepik contributor scene but it seems to take them 20 working days almost every time to approve the designs and I don't think we can do anything about this. But my average price per download now says 0.09€, but in the beginning it was 0.04€. I think it depends on what kind of design is downloaded (vector/photo/psd) and who is downloading - individual buyer or a monthly subscriber.

    • @jonathanjason6100
      @jonathanjason6100 Год назад +2

      @@agatadrozdz Hi, thank you very much for your sharing. On the first downloads, I was also expected to get 0.04€ for a download. But when summarizing in the first month I was paid 0.27€ for 1 download. And in the 2nd month, it's only 0.02€. I also think like you, this index can be changed depending on different file types. So I'm waiting for it for the current month, to adjust my design for a better fit. And since I'm new to the freepik contributor, there's still a lot I don't understand. Your comments are very helpful. Thank you so much for sharing these. Wishing you the best of luck and success in your work.

      Thank you for sharing your numbers! It really helps to show the reality of it. I've experienced something like this too, so don't worry, it's not your fault. 1 year ago when I filmed my first video, approval was quick (a few days). Now it can take up to a month or so. My earnings have also varied a lot: at first it was 0.07€ per download and now it has gone down to 0.054€. I think this is due to the new compensation system that Freepik introduced in September 2022. That means that your price per download will vary month to month, instead of being consistent like it was before that date.
      In case you're curious to try other platforms, I recommend that you explore selling your images in Adobe Stock. On this site, my earnings vary from 0.33-0.99$ per download. I'm quite new to Adobe Stock and I'm not seeing as many downloads, but since you alt have images created, it might be worth uploading them here too. Good luck! 🍀✨

      Thank you for your question! This never happened to me before, since I only upload vector drawings, but I hope I can help you. As far as I know, anything related to the mock-up and that the user needs to create their end result should be okay. But if you have added an decorative photo to make it look nicer the safest bet could be to not include it in the downloadable PSD file and add the "image not included" label in the preview JPG. I hope that makes sense! That's all I can think of without seeing the files. Still, I would reach out to Freepik support and see if they can have a look at your specific files, just in case they are rejecting a part of the file that _needs_ to be there.

    Hola! Veo que aún subes cosas sobre Freepik. Te conocí en el vídeo sobre las ganancias.
    Actualmente trabajo para freepik como comisionado pero estoy pensando subir renders 3D también por mi cuenta. Lo que pasa es que no sé si merece la pena el esfuerzo... El pago por descarga en freepik es bastante bajo... Podrías darme tu opinión? Agradecería mucho también una actualización en el vídeo sobre las ganancias. Gracias de antemano😊!

      @cristinasala  Год назад +1

      ¡Hola! Gracias por tu comentario 😊
      ¿Cuando dices que trabajas como comisionado es diferente a lo de Contributor? La verdad es que yo también me estoy cuestionando si el esfuerzo merece la pena, y por ahora en mi opinión no, si hacer cada imagen te lleva más de unos minutos. En mi caso, reciclo mucho contenido antiguo para crear lo más rápido posible, y aún así en el año que llevo en Freepik he ganado muy poco. Te dejo aquí la actualización porque no sé cuándo tendré tiempo de hacerla en video: tras 1 año en Freepik, he acumulado 33,22€, con 87 imágenes y 610 descargas en total.
      El precio por descarga es de aprox. unos 6 céntimos de euro. He visto también que con el nuevo método de cálculo se gana menos que el año pasado por la misma cantidad de descargas 😅
      Si alguien me pregunta si vale la pena en cuanto a esfuerzo vs. ganancias le diría que en mi opinión no; hay formas más rentables de ganar dinero online. Para mí Freepik es un experimento que todavía no ha terminado, quiero compararlo con otras páginas de stock por ejemplo y comprobar algunas cosas, así que seguiré usándolo un tiempo 😁 ¡Espero que esto te ayude! Y si haces 3D, puedes probar páginas como Sketchfab o TurboSquid quizá.

      @@cristinasala Buenos días! Gracias por tu completa respuesta. Con comisionista me refiero a que Freepik me pide renders concretos por los que me paga directamente una vez se realizan. 2️⃣ You are not allowed to upload the same content. The files would be rejected as duplicated and your account could be temporarily blocked.

      Great question! It's not possible, as far as I know, to disable the Premium status. It's automatically set by Freepik. But that doesn't really matter, because downloads of Free files don't count towards earnings. The way to get earnings is for people to download your Premium files, because Premium users pay a subscription to be able to download them. Downloads can be really slow and it takes a long time to accumulate an amount that you can withdraw. I've been on Freepik for over a year and I've made around 42€ with approximately 70 images. I hope that gives you an idea of what to expect 😊

      When you edit your video you can increase the gain, and compare with the previous videos. It is a simple error don't worry mam

    From now on I wonder how it would be for creators to:
    1) creating content with AI getting better day after day
    2) making money out of it
    This thing could be change forever the way we deal with producing content and producing art. Must we adapt? How?
    Just thinking out loud.

      It's quite uncertain, isn't it? I also wonder about it. As far as I know, the way some Ai models source their training materials atm is quite sketchy, but things seem to be moving very fast. We'll have to adapt somehow, but I don't know how 😅

      I still wonder about this. I know AI is evolving and all that but as someone who printed and cut designs before, you need clear, smooth lines to tell the cutting machine what you want. (Amongs other things). What AI does it makes images but the lines are always a horrible mess that needs redoing. It takes more time than making your own stuff. It will be great for ideas and the cleaning part will still be necessary. I do believe it will be helpful but wont completely. There will be other jobs like image merging, image adjustments. I think photobashing will thrive. Until AI can operate printers and cutters for a fair prize I think this market will still be there. I also think hand made things will become more required. Something outside of the digital space. Just some opinions on my part. In general AI is here, we need to accept it and figure out how we can use it to our advantage. There is this weird saying in my language that goes "fire is a great servant but a horrible master". I think this also works with AI and tech.

      @@tarinvernon7007 I like that fire saying, what's the original in your language? I wonder the same things! Ai can do a lot of great things, but sometimes it needs a lot of polishing. I'm very curious about whether it will be able to catch up to this or whether it'll be us as artists to fill that gap. If so, what could that look like in terms of jobs? Same with hand-made things, will they become more special in a world filled with Ai products? Does that mean that there will be more earning potential in that niche? Or is there a way craft artists can benefit from Ai too? I wonder what will be.

      @@cristinasala Hello and thank you for answering. Its so nice of you to read my long message. The saying originally is: "Oheň je dobrý sluha, ale zlý pán."

    Mam you want to improve the quality of your content. Previously I told you that please increase your audio level, You assured me that in the future you will do that but till today you do not fix that. Managing an account or replying to a comment is a very easy job, but retaining a subscriber is a big task.

      Thank you for your feedback! You must be a RUclips expert, because you sound like know so much about what the job entails. Since you know so much about it, can you help me? I'm a beginner teaching myself and I don't know how to edit the sound quality of videos that I have already published. When I said "in the future", I meant "for future videos".
