    Birch Bark for tinder is a good fire starter. took my 58 Pattern Poncho but it stopped raining.... pfffft.

    No disrespect mate but I’m 4 mins and 47 seconds into this video and your splitting wood yet not paying attention to the knife which is obviously very sharpe, your looking around all the time, your focus should be on the blade and nothing else, don’t get me wrong as I’ve said before your knowledge and experience is a lot better than mine but all it takes is one slip with a sharpe blade and your in trouble!

      Hi Brian, thanks for your comment always appreciated 👍 the point your making there is a very good 1 👌 I'll take that into account for future videos 💪👍 sometimes like most things you get very relaxed doing things when you been doing it for quite a while (and that's when accidents happen) my job also involves using Stanley knifes and sharp tools so it's easy for me to get over relaxed 😳 look forward to future comments from you and hopefully you keep watching 👌
