BIRDWING Butterflies? Apollo butterflies? Jungle queens? Giant African swallowtails? Honestly, I could locate and film all of these for YOU!! But I have a problem. RUclips demonetised my channel permanently (and refuse to tell me why); this makes it very hard for me to make videos like this. RUclips does not support my channel, and I don't make money from views. My only budget for the show is what people decide to generously donate! This channel is 100% crowdfunded. If you enjoy the stuff I make and see value in it, consider sponsoring for as little as 1$ a month via Patreon; www.patreon.com/BartButterflies - another option is Paypal: paypal.me/BartCoppens
Keep making awesome content Bart. It is highly important to spread social awareness about these species. Hopefully more people join you. Greetings from Australia!
When you go to Petrópolis on the road that is at the top of the mountain range in the middle of the Atlantic Forest, you can see many of them flying along the side of the road... they like the part of the forest with more shade.
I have one of the male morpho menelaus in a glass frame next to my computer and its wings are almost pristine. The vibrant holographic blue of the scales is not visible when viewing the wings through light and only the dark brown underside and lighter brown 8 pairs "eyes" can be seen. Interesting to see how it flies as low as possible to the ground when searching for food and how well the underside of the wings blends into the brown leaves on the forest trail.
I need to come to Brazil. Morpho my favourite butterfly although tbh I love them all insects intrigue me! A connection to our past! I could sit and talk forever lol 🌀✨🐛🦋
@@BartCoppensyou are sooo lucky! I have just put a large greenhouse up in my living room. Waiting on some owl butterfly caterpillars and a couple of morpho pupae. Its exciting getting it all ready for them including a few banana plants etc I'm so glad morphos like peas lol I can grow them no problem! Love this species 🦋

What song people learn about wrong about blue morpho butterflies some people said blue morpho butterfly don't have the color white the chances are wrong white morpho butterflies do exist
As Bart is a moron of the first order, let us hope one thing he has learned is not to kill every butterfly he sees to use it to try and inflate his diminutive personality. Bart looks like, sounds like and is the kind of weird person that gives Lepidoptery a bad name.
I didn't kill any species in this video? But it's good to see you have delusions of adequacy in the sense that you think your opinion on who gives 'Lepidoptery a bad name' amounts to anything on even the slighest scale. Who made you the arbiter?
