The unpopulated IC is an SDRAM which we use for black box data storage capability. I messed up the pinout though so need to fix this on the next spin of the board. We’ve not decided whether to release schematics yet.
Very interesting topic, but honestly a tad to brief for me. I expected some information regarding how UART works and why it is so prevalent in the industrial/embedded world, but there is just no time in 1 minute. Too superficial to be useful. Anyways, keep up the great work.
Thanks for your feedback. We do some longer form technical videos too but not on UART yet. If you are interested in power electronics, check out our power knowledge series as these are in much greater depth. Powerful Knowledge ruclips.net/p/PLQIwWfuIEc-BmlhaFoTIR_Z81YyHZmVrv
interesting, will you also share the PCB schematic and code with us on YT?
Also what is that unpopulated chip? it looks like a RAM footprint
