I love vintage anything. Kinda sentimental & I remember old school quality meant something. Glad you get to fix or restore the beautiful windows. Thanks BP
Looks like the original color of the windows may have been green, from the last window shown. What a pain to do, but well worth the effort. I'm sure it will look amazing when you are finished, plus you get to keep the windows that open out.
Yes, we think so too. The green is a period correct color and we've found shades of green under other trim paint inside the house. As for the work required... it would be SO MUCH EASIER to remove them and install new ones but these aren't made anymore. Our finish color looks to be a dark brown for now, similar to the primer brown. It will blend with any color of the future and looks pretty good.
🙏Lots of work ahead. Its gonna look beautiful!

I even love the crackled paint but these windows will restore beautifully. Thanks
@@splanify2307 they got crackle to add to paint (been there love that too😁)
Very cool! (Sometimes literally, lol) a bunch of work but, I think it’s worth it. Great job you two are doing on your homestead!
We'll see how well they keep out the cold.
Wow, my windows look this bad too.
