- With our thoughts, we can unintentionally create a stronghold, or hiding place, for the devil. In this full sermon, Bill Johnson teaches on the absolute importance of embracing the mind of Christ and His word in our hearts and minds. When the devil tries to influence us with thoughts of fear and anxiety, we must take the shield of faith and sword of the Spirit and not only reject the lies of the enemy, but intentionally choose to embrace God’s word in its place. Entertaining thoughts of fear and anxiety by reviewing them over and over again builds strongholds in our minds, giving the enemy a place to dwell.

I am an alcoholic. By the grace and mercy of a loving God I’ve been sober 49 weeks and counting. I left Evansville, IN for treatment a year ago and in a few weeks I will be returning there to worship with Bethel Music. I got sober in Charlotte. The Bible says Bethel is the place where Jacob had a dream where he saw angels ascending and defending to heaven. For me, that city is Charlotte. Thanks to my time there I have come to know the Lord in new exciting ways, this ministry included. God is good. I raise a hallelujah every single day now.
Just worship God in truth and spirit. You don't need bethel music. This bethel is a far cry from the bethel where Jacob had his dream believe me. I pray that God will show you the real road He wants you to be on. Please go into what bethel music stands for before you make your decision.

STAY FOCUSED. demons use other people to get you off track. You are in a battle. Stand and fight in the spirit. Not in the flesh. Learn what your kingdom keys are. Forgive them, soon they will be wanting your Jesus. Build your mind on the word to get stronger.
Don't quit Jesus. Hang in there. Find new friends who are like minded.

Bill also says in this same video, 'I know people who try to protect their self esteem. they can't receive correction, because correction is a threat to their self esteem.' What ???
@@gandalf0987 maybe he meant self identity is anchored in the. nature of God, not esteem? I cannot speak for him.... but I do like/agree with the comments about receiving correction- Pride keeps us from that.

I feel sorry you wasted 20yrs of your life listening to a useless story teller that uses all metafores to explain his lack of knowledge. He has no meaning or conclusion to anything he says. I have tried to understand what he is talking about but nothing he starts with or ends with has any real meaning or conclusion there just a bunch of meaning less sentences. Have a listen to Regi Watts and you will understand what I'm talking about. Bill should just write poems about nothing and he may get some credit for his structure on wording gibberish. This was one long message, as I stopped and went back so many times, took notes, reorganized my notes to highlight revelation upon revelation! So Blessed by this, it brought so many things together. "Important to identify the lies but equally important to recognize the truth to replace it!". "The Word, truth is not merely to be glanced at in a daily reading but to be memorized, prayed and meditated on" to build a habitation, a stronghold for the Lord in my life❤. During your sermon I find myself praying every point you make for the word, I would not be saying amen outwardly but praying and praising within!! Thanking you for your lessons and wisdom!!!
Lie is removed through repentance - Godly sorrow
When we accept a lie in our mind, it will grow roots, and will need other lies to feed itself. Thus conteracting the action of the word of God in us. It is easy to spot obvious works of the devil, but when he disguises himself as the angel of light, it is difficult. eg. self doubt, which brings self centeredness disguised as humility. It is actually a quiet pride, because it goes against the word of the Lord. The only way out of this is a heartfelt repentance.

In my homeschool art class today, the conversation turned to dragons as many of them love dragons and want to talk about them in every aspect. The conversation meandered to our favorite foods later and I said I eat dragons. The entire table became silent and stared at me. This led to some great conversation!

Such a powerful message! It is relevant in today's society! The devil's strategy hasn't changed. In the Gen 3 he even got Eve to question God's Word to her. The devil is a liar, a deceiver. Praise God Jesus defeated him on our behalf! We just enforce that authority we have in Christ through His Word and we thank and praise God and sing because God is good!!!

I've come to realize, that (concerning Identity), that when Eve was deceived, she was "Dis-Eve-ed", & lost her true Identity --- & the same thing happens to the rest of us, too... by that same devilish strategy!
