He was interviewed on "Inside the Actor's Studio" and kept going with stuff like this for two hours after they had finished filming. One woman had to be taken to the hospital because she laughed so hard for so long.
Robin Williams was a blessing! Thank you Robin for bringing us so much joy!
He was amazing!!!! Very much missed. I hope he is in a very good and peaceful place and still bringing happiness to all around him.
You mean the worms in his coffin? That's fucked up asshole.
One of my GREATEST inspirations for doing what I do every day! Thank you for this, Mr. Williams! I hope you're up there in Super Heaven, making God laugh and having a blessed time!
I bought the cassette for this movie back when it was released, great selection of songs, to a great movie, with one of the greatest actor/comedian ever to walk this earth.
A unique Human being, sorely missed!. Even though I know all the lines, still makes me laugh, no matter how many times I watch this movie!. Thanks Robin for this and everything else you gave us!. RIP. Nuff said.
The world became less funny when he died. RIP Robin Williams, you are so greatly missed.
No-one will top Robin
I remember AFR playing these cuts on the radio station when I was stationed in Panama in 1991. I heard Robin made a few hours of material for the movie.
Got to see the real guy in person when my town did a tribute to Vietnam vets! He is truly hilarious. Robin Williams did him good!
Still the best to date. Surprising you couldn’t get away with it on radio these days
My dad had the "good morning vietnam" soundtrack cd. I haven't heard it in awhile but I can tell you right now I could probably repeat the whole thing word for word, all of his little skits, then know the exact song that would play next. We would play it every single year we took a road trip down to florida. Blasting all of the classics on that cd on the beach in Daytona. Great times and I will never forget those moments.
There will never be another as good as Robin
One word......... Genius........ To think the world we live in no longer has this man. A man that knew the world needed to laugh. To think how he died saddens me so deeply. Mr Robin Williams thank you for making the world laugh. Truly living for others. Thank you
Mrs doubt fire aswel yea cracks me up with the dinosaurs
Man his talent knew no bounds. I've been a fan of his for years and regret never getting to see him live doing stand up.
Robin Williams. Rest in peace. The great ones always seem to go too soon. Rest easy sir, and thank you for all the laughs And greatness you gave us though the big screen.
I remember being a nerdy teen, sore as heck from Gym class, with my abdominal muscles cursing me. Went to this movie and nearly split myself in half, laughing so hard and it was painful but awesome!
Love how Forest Whitaker is really fighting to keep his composure, and the guy in the white shirt in the other booth doesn't even bother and is just losing it.
If only he knew now how much we all miss him. Unmatched man and entertainer.
I LOVE it when Robin asks “Too much?” At the end of his broadcast!!!
Sad to see the main actors Robin Williams, Bruno Kirby and J T Walsh are no longer with us. *RIP*
I always lose it when he says Freddie is the Devil and he throws the record.
_Yeet_ that record
I love the delicate intro music followed immediate by Gooood Morrnnning Vietnam
#RobinWilliams will never know the joy he brought this world!!!!! I miss you #RobinWilliams take care of my mum and my big brother for me
3 and a half minutes of just full tilt boogie crazy RW madness. Beautiful.
Still brings tears to my eyes. This one movie was when I met two great men my dad (I was adopted, he was the first to show it to me... the movie) and Robin Williams, I never saw my dad laugh like he did when watching this.. and now both are gone 😭
Robin Williams was a true and born entertainer......You could not take that away from him! This was a classic HOOK of his true talent in comedy improv!!!
What is something you liked about the film. Explain Briefly.
@@mrteaparty6090 I appreciate the genius of how Williams took the script and made the narrative nature of the war a light hearted scope of whirlwind comedic dialog, antics and physical gestures that was truly his genius. Williams stated that the director allowed him to take the script in many scenes and allowed him to inprov the scene/dialog.......He was a master!!!!
@@ashleystewart994 What was considered "propaganda" in the film "Good Morning Vietnam," and how did the main characters react to it?
As a certified Viet, I am glad to have been good morninged by the late Robin Williams in such a passionate fashion
He will be missed. Thank you, Robin, for leaving such a wonderfully frenetic legacy.
What do you mean he will be missed? 😞 are you telling me he's...
@@lieutenantdan417 . . . visiting Elvis.

undoubtedly one of the greatest movies ever. Robin Williams was an unparalleled comic genius. QEPD
If Robin William only had a podcast :(
If you imagine, it'll come true!
I imagine he's dead! Welp, would you look at that! He's dead!
(rest in peace)
Joe rogan would be the guest
Robin Williams was so awesome and original. He's definitely missed
No matter how much time goes by, it still puts a smile on my face and a bounce in my walk!

Years after his death and I'm still mourning the genius we lost.
I loved watching this movie at the "$5 theater" in Santa Fe Springs ca. That was the first movie i can remember crying laughing. Like when you cant breathe laughing. One of the best ever.
"It's 0600! What's the 'O' stand for? "Oh my God it's early!"
3:00 the reaction of the guy in the back makes everything better XD
"It's so hot I saw one of those little fellows in the orange robes burst into flames." I just got that...
Bit dark...
@@AlexZoom5608They made a joke about it on M*A*S*H. Klinger said he was gonna set himself on fire, but he was bluffing the whole time. When he poured the can all over himself, he sniffed it and said, “Who put gasoline in my gasoline?!”
@@rosskerr1439 Woah. Okay, now that's cool.
Robin Williams you are deeply missed , The world is not the same without your comedic genius .... Hope you're god smile .... Stay up🖖😇

i didnt realize it was a joke til i read your comment, now i get it lolol
To people who don't get the reference, it's about a monk who set himself on fire as a protest to political decisions in South Vietnam in 1963.

0:46, "who gave anyone permission to program modern music?", lol
Even back in those days, the military was very much into "our way or the highway", even regarding entertainment. The soldiers were expected to be human drones, thinking and feeling only what the top brass ordered them to.
Someone did
Considering much of the modern rock music of the time was in protest of the war, it made sense why they chose to censor it.
@@alixvandurand Thats true. Whenever I heard video games and movies play most of the rock songs on the background I realized these aren't even the ones GI's listened to because the armed forces radio did not play them.
The worlds light got noticeably darker on the day he took his life. RIP to a true legend. He will go down in history for being one of the best ever and he deserves every bit of it.
YOU JUST CROSSED OVER TO........ THE DEMILITARIZED ZONE! HAHAHA RIP Robin Williams great soul
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA rest in peace.
Still hard to believe that he is gone. He was such a huge talent. Miss him badly
This, patch adams, and genie are why I love Robin Williams. I think this was the first serious movie I liked and well understood as a 8 year old kid.
He made radio come to life!
I remember watching this with my friends at the cinema. We were ecstatic!
i bet he had fun doing this. great acting by him! goat!
intense movie overall
Damn one of best scenes in this movies. RIP Mr. Willliams. I grew watching his movies and they always make me laugh. Thank you for all laughter you gave me.
Mr. Williams was a fucking A C T O R, not a comedian. Disrespectful...
I just absolutely love this, one of my all time favs! Some days I walk into work doing my rendition of Robin Williams' GM Viêtnam, yes me @ 6:45am & no caffeine. Thank you! 28/5/2024 @0952

We’ve entered.. the demilitarized zone..
*AHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
There was only ever one actor who could do this scene. Now there is nobody at all. What a genius.
