I love the mix, but the vocals of "we are your friends.." just don't mesh well with it. They should've used a vocal synthesizer instead of raw voice so the two could harmonize better without one detracting from the other.

I think it works for me. What he’s doing here is to reignite memories for the original. Using a vocal synthesizer might lose the vibe he’s going for.
