If someone is impressed by this (which I am), but think it over complicates things or if you have a ruler, but don't have access to an American dollar...I just took a dollar and measured it. I'll leave the measurements so you can use it to precut a stack of dollar bill sized paper to have ready for your dollar bill origami. My measurements for MY USA dollar bill are 156mm x 66mm.

If you cut a square with side equal to that of the A4 size paper's breadth, the resulting smaller rectangle has ratio that of the dollar bill!

2. Trace on paper
3. Cut the trace
4. Profit (?)

anyone find it wierd that a US dollar bill is the end size cut from a A4 (not common in the US)sheet. US usually uses letter size paper
The idea was to help people who doesn't have any US Dollars at hand (i.e, the rest of the World), where DinA-4 sized paper is a pretty common standard. I supposed the people in the US (that normally use letter sized paper) should not be using this method, as they can get dollars as easy as opening their wallets (more or less).

JustinC033 Γιασας There are a lot of models which can be folded from dollar bills, so this is an easy way of sizing paper the same to test fold models before folding with real money. Check out Won Park's Koi Carp model folded from a single dollar bill :)

The 7x3 method is also very good, but this one is different. This is a new method and you'll get a very good approximation of the actual size of a dollar bill, not only it's ratio

Sir, your folding at step 0.37 was not very precise.
It is not "a fold"; it is just a mark. This 0.37 fold, in conjunction with the next fold, will give you the base-point you need to folder the length of the paper and mark the part you need to cut off in order to get a new, reduced rectangle. From this reduced rectangle, you'll obtain the 4 dollar-size rectangles.
In cm what the size of the dollar? (No speak english xd xd :,v)

It is a "normal"/stardard size of paper outside the US. In the US they use letter paper: in EU and a very large numbers of countries, we use DinA-4 as a standard. It is a 21 x 29,7 cm paper size.
