So! Regarding your lore theories, I think the events of this story are WHY Lucheng has lost contact with the Mars colony. Who's to say Hammond didn't blow up some crucial Martian communication arrays when he filled that hallway with mines? He was on a floor that had live footage of Horizon Lunar Colony, so it wouldn't be surprising if any other communication equipment was caught in the explosion. Which means Hammond could be responsible for putting Juno and the Martian colony in serious danger. That could make for an interesting interaction or two between them. As for the Junkers: boy howdy, I'm nervous about how future works are going to handle their portrayal. The Junkers are fun villains, but their xenophobia puts them in a very tricky position in the story. Even *if* the omnics the Junkers are attacking are "rabid," this story makes it seem like the Junkers are the aggressors, hunting them down first. I wouldn't want the Junkers to become heroes, though a villain vs. villain fight between them and Null Sector could be interesting, with Winston attempting to make it through the crossfire to rescue Hammond. At any rate, thanks for covering this story!
There is a line in the story just one sentence. It mentions Hammond having bested Roadhog in the Junkertown arena. That would be a cool animated fight to see.
Ya know, I wonder if Ramattra and Wrecking Ball would get along. I know they both an interaction which left Ram chuckling, but if they knew each other's stories - that each of their kind has suffered at the hands of humans. Both blessed with intelligence and true autonomy, but had things taken from them.
In the Mauga animation, Doomfists mentions he could see the explosion from space. No doubt hes made contact with the apes or even recruited them into talon. Remember the old concept art for OW where they showed a bunch of heroes w/ abilities? One of the heroes resembled a sort of arctic ape, closer to a yeti due to modifications probably. I have no doubt in my mind he or the leader of the uprising will at some point joint the roster as a playbale hero!
this is my absolute favorite story from HA, i already adored Horizon Lunar Colony but getting to see all these new details is so awesome :D thanks for covering such a good story, really liked the video !
After the null sector stuff is done, I'd love seeing a story arc where the apes crash into earth while at the same time the Junkers invade mainland. We could maybe throw a Brasilian uprising in the mix too, also talon, can't forget about that one.
I'd love the symmetry if the colony apes slowly got to Winston's level of intelligence and had managed to over scale Winston's tesla cannon into a lunar base weapon.
