The Last MC Dude, I’ve been binge listening to When You Wake Up for the past, what, 3 weeks now? I load it up into Audacity and play around with the pitch, tempo, and a few other effects, and my god, I get shivers down my spine listening to that synth lead in the intro, which is also beautifully complimented by Zandro’s line after the chorus “I will be there. Yeah, yeah, yeah! When you wake up!”. I also like the “wobbly” sounding synth sound in the verses, which is the same melody as the intro. The bridge is great, too. It was a good choice to end the song similarly to the intro as well. I’ve tried removing the vocals via Audacity, but it just doesn’t quite do it for me. I hope Zandro Nuno brings out an acapella so we can hear those outstanding synth melodies more clearly!
The Last MC I also agree with you on Dreaming! I always loved it when they extended the outro to the song in their live performances. I always got upset when the outro ended within a few seconds on the album version. I looked for an extended outro, but I just couldn’t. I was shocked to see Zandro Nuno’s upload with the title “Extended Instrumental”. At first, I thought it was too good to be true. But then I listened, and damn, it was actually true! I instantly subbed and awaited more uploads. Another song that’s on my list is Incomparable. Have you heard the piano melody during the chorus of that song? So euphoric.
