The stock gauges are recessed to minimize reflections, which can be very distracting. I like the setup and will eventually convert to that, but I wish to keep the recessed feature of the stock gauges, so I will have to 3D print something for that. Also, the new gauges will have a lot of reflections in the windows at night if not recessed. For some of us easily distracted types, that is an issue. Just saying.....

How did you fix the tach? I’ve looked at these for a while, that adapter board might make it worth it.

My 85, for some reason, doesn't have a wore for a tach from the factory. I ran my own.
The adapter board is so worth it!

@@uniwerksdesign I currently don't have a tach and am using an Amazon GPS dingus to show me how fast I'm going.
It works, but it's far from ideal.

Thanks, Chris! Couple of questions. Maybe I missed, but where did the surround come from? 3d printed? Also, is there any way to set the digi odometer to the actual mileage on the odometer that was removed?

I make the bezels to hold the gauges in.
Yes, you can program the odometer to your mileage. ;-)

Totally awesome! I had been eyeing the Guage cluster from transporter werks, but they remove the center portion and it doesn't look as good. Did you have to do any extra wiring for the GPS speedo?
