It was time to do it again last week and this time I had a flat surface cleaner for my Nilfisk. No custom extendable pole so I just strapped it to a window cleaning pole and a rope on the trigger. Sooooo much quicker and much more satisfying.
Good job, nice work, awesome. Perfect roof cleaning. Keep it up. I am from india (Raj.) Jodhpur. Here is sand stone roof, they wash in rainy season only.

Hi Ashley, do you ever have issues with pressure wash leaking to roofs ? How do you assess when to and when not to do a roof that you might think leak through? Thanks
Brilliant job! - Been following your channel for sometime now your content and knowledge has encouraged me to start my own pressure washing business. Cheers dude.
I didn’t think it looked that bad to begin with! One of the most incredible transformations I’ve ever seen!! Bet there were a few bags of sludge to get rid of after!
Have u ever had issues with water getting inside the roof area and damaging the internal ceiling? U make good videos and your advice is sound. I cleaned hi rise windows for many a year. Had all the specialist gear for doing that and added pest control, window and door maintenance and pressure cleans, over time. Good business to be in.
We are mainly just using a Gardiner backpack to apply the biocide for now. Simple but effective. I will explain the pressure washing tool in my next video.😃👍🏼
Lovely job ash well done and I’m getting into the roof cleaning this year with the same set up and looking forward to doing it 👍👍 excellent work as always.

@@aemackintosh that was hard work but , 99% of us even with the tools would probably not take that on . That was Presition cleaning on a huge scale . Looked mint after ward . If I dropped a grand on that I'd be well happy with the result 👍
Real happy I've found your channel mate! I've been investing in equipment ect for a few months now and hopefully be all good to go next year after more investment. Got alot off other stuff to keep me occupied until then but I'm really looking forward to getting up and running proper. Great videos! Really helpful and inspiring. Cheers 👍
@@aemackintosh yeah. I watched it again when I got home. Got system. And seems a fair bit faster scraping. Keep the videos coming. You're helping a lot of people.
I’ve got the revs low to reduce the pressure output so it’s more gentle on the tiles. I prefer this to scraping but it’s still hard work for sure, and a lot of cleaning up afterwards.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh thanks for the advice. I'm just getting started in roof cleaning. Looking for a way that suits me. And I could imagine the clean up afterwards 😱
You thought about adding a boiler mate for steam cleaning all them black spots would come off then or hypo instead of boiside i find the bio only really works for stoping the moss growing back takes a long time to see the results if u don’t power wash and only scrape the moss and use bio ,good job anyway I bet the clean up on that was a long one ☝️ all the best mate
If you don't mind me asking, what do you do about the guttering/waste that comes off the roof? Also, does a roof in poor condition (i.e. lots of broken/missing roof tiles) affect your decision to do the job or how you do it?
Every job is different and you have to decide what the best approach will be. I will block up the down pipes before we start cleaning. A lot of the work is in the clean up afterwards, clearing out the gutters and the debris below.😃👍🏼
Good video as always... I wonder what to use instead of ladder to operate. I see a bit of scalfolding. How you bring to the client? another van? trailer?
Yes, we hire the scaffold tower and line up a couple of jobs together to make it worthwhile. We did two smaller roofs a couple of days before this one.💪🏼😃👍🏼
How do you clean 100+ Year Old Tiles? And what does the inside of the roof look like? What about replacing the cement around the capping you've just cracked and blown out?
Just a beautiful perfect job! I have searched the internet and home product stores now for years and cannot find something anywhere similar to what you use in your video, and have come up empty-handed. I thought maybe I have to get some of that white plastic tubing and make my own. Are yours home-made? If so, excellent job! I'd hire you, but you are about a million miles away.
Sorry for the silly question, but why must I clean my roof? Is there a functional reason or it is only an esthetic and sanitary motivation? Thank you. Good job 👏👍
The moss can ultimately cause damage, and block the gutters. It holds moisture which will freeze in winter and can cause tiles to crack. Once the moss has been removed I recommend a regular treatment of biocide every 4/5 years to keep the roof well maintained.👍🏼
Someone please nominate this man for an award. You're the real MVP mate.

A fantastic job, the roof cleaning has revealed that a few roof tiles are broken and should soon be replaced with whole tiles.

@@aemackintosh Hi Ashley, amazing job. I just wondered what you used to block the down pipes before cleaning?
We usually use a cloth or rag to block up the down pipes or sometimes something like a bit of chicken wire.👍🏼
Yes and also extremely useful for reducing the lifespan of your tiles which could otherwise have lasted a lifetime..
Just wondering and still asking are iron sheets also cleaneable? Much love from Kenya , Africa. Loving what you do
